Locals! If you are looking for something to do tomorrow we could use your support at the "Pig Roast for Property Rights". I'm throwing down a huge pig, we'll have live musice by www.davidpeel.com, and plenty of senators/house reps/leaders of various leaders of property rights coalitions speaking.

It's at Civic Park downtown. Parking is free. Look for the Greek theater and OrangeForceOne will be parked right in the middle of the roast!

There is a detailed map at www.thecprc.org .

This is getting to be my final stand to try and save the tailgating lot.

I wish I could make it ..... I was begging for a run to colorado this weekend .. I am sure someone would have met me at a truck stop and picked my ass up .........

We're pushing as hard as we can. Don Kirlin from the Boulder land grab will also be speaking. He's the guy who lost part of his yard to his neighbor via adverse possession. There is a new bill coming down the pipe HB 1148 to prevent that kinda BS from happening again as well.

Our bill is HB 1278. Real simple. Prevents RTD from taking land for their economic gain. RTD is supposed to build transportation not freaking shopping malls on private property.

5:59AM. RTD the Pig is doing well. Branded RTD right in that son of a gun. Ha!

Event is still on. We had a back up plan for this. There is an enclosure under the greek theater we can tarp up and make a good place for people to eat etc.

We have propane heaters on the way.

I'll have my shorts on.;D

Just returned from downtown a while ago. Had a pretty good turnout considering the weather. I'm sure Meck will update as soon as he's done "breaking down". I sure does sound like the bills are on the way/ have the support.

We'll have those bills up on www.thecprc.org site so you can read them in full TailgateNut and others. Our next big day is this Tuesday when it goes thru the first step in the process. Committee hearing, then house, then senate, and hopefully signed by the governor into law.

All kidding aside, one of the most interesting people I met today was a homeless man who volunteered to help today. He's staying in a shelter and lost his business to eminent domain in Lakewood some time ago. It ended up making him homeless. He'd read about the event from a flyer some people put around downtown and called the organization to see what he could do. He worked his butt off.
