Shooting at N. Illinois University
DEKALB, Ill.—Northern Illinois University says there has been a shooting on campus and several people have been taken away by ambulance.
University officials warned students on the school Web site to get to a safe area and "take precautions until given the all clear."
The messages says everyone should avoid the King Commons and all buildings in that area.
Messages were left for university police and police in DeKalb, located about 65 miles west of Chicago.

In my college days, people unhappy with their lives just found a tall building to jump off of. Now they want to take out a bunch of random students, mail their video of how America sucks off to NBC News then kill themselves so they'll never face jail time.

well if we didnt have fat ass cops busting up 14 year olds or throwing crippled people out of wheelchairs , they could be patroling alot better

Every report on the news that I've heard is calling the police response "perfect."
This isn't on the police at all. Nothing they could have done to stop this.

Well when many of us were kids this was unheard of. Now a shooting spree in public seems to be happening every other week or so these day.
At the current pace where does this leave our country 20 years from now?

They thought that they had caught them, so I rode over in the back of a police car to ID some guys on the street at 4am the same night, but it wasnt them.
They'll never be caught for this crime, but I'm pretty sure that they were on "other business" and happened upon me in the process. You dont just carry an AK47 around on the street. I'm just glad I didnt get shot while witnessing another murder. That would have sucked.
