First game to first game Cutler looked much smoother and a better athlete. Cutler looked like a QB, Russell looked stiff and for his size did not show the ability to stay up when hit. When it comes to Arm Strength I see no difference both have stronger arms than will every be needed.

Personally I am sick of being "objective". When I first read the article I posted about I was going to blow it off....Pure homerism by a fader fan on a fader site. Let me bring this thread back to it's beginning. It was so much the argument about who is better, but where each sits on the QB food chain right now. I was simply calling out a raider fan who, on his raider blog, said that Russell was the best QB taken in the draft since 2004. That was a slap in the face of Cutler. We all know Raider fans secretly wish the walking corpse had picked Cutler....

That said, I wanted to stir the pot a bit. I mean, damn, is it a bad thing to have some healthy football talk during the "re-building" season? I just wanted to start a thread with a little healthy trash talk. Something to get the blood flowing.

Hell no it doesnt. Calling my fandom in question because I live over 24 hours away and cant make it. Dont take into the fact that I have been a fan for 22 years and yes Im over 30 so you dont think it was since my birth I pay a small fortune every year for sunday ticket and I am in chat every game long time chatters know I will be there. Just because you live there and have the luxury doesnt mean ****. honestly, it should have been a one page thread because as of RIGHT NOW, there is no debate that Cutler is far and away a better QB than Russel...and with the way Oakland develops QBs I think Jamarcus Russel will be found on the "for hire" line in around 4 years...or throwing footlongs to David Kircus at Subway

also, I really, really can't stand the obnoxious stance that someone who attends games in person because they are a ticket holder has any more knowledge about the game than a "TV fan." .....i dont know, that just rubbed me the wrong way

if i didn't live 1,500 miles away I'd be all over getting tickets...

I've been an avid Bronco fan since 1987....and I've never stepped foot in Denver Colorado...

but I haven't missed a game in years and I TIVO every game...

Not to mention my authentic autographed poster of John elway in my office...

I love the Broncos as much as anybody...

even if it is from just watching as a "TV Fan"

As a Chief fan who hates both of your teams equally, I'd say that if I'm more afraid of Cutler right now. However, I'm more afriad of what Russel could be in a few years. I don't personally think Cutler will ever be "elite" in this league. For Russel, it just depends on how far he grows. He's certainly got the skills to be pretty scary in the league, but the Raiders don't exactly have a history of grooming elite quarterbacks.

That being said, I'd take either one of them over what we've got right now.
