AL WILSON TO LIONS?
Our moles in Motown tell us that linebacker Al Wilson has been spotted there. The strong suspicion is that he'll be talking with the Lions about possibly joining the team.
Wilson was out of football (http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm#) in 2007 after suffering a neck injury with the Broncos late in the 2006 season.
He has since been cleared to return to the field.

I don't think that Al going to Denver is a given. Don't forget that we tried to trade him at the last minute...

Al isn't coming to Denver.
Last year the Lions were interested in Al Wilson when he was being shopped.

Great.....I wouldn't be surprised if they sign Al and we sign Boss shortly thereafter. To be honest, I could do without either at this point unless they were willing to sign something close to vet minimum contracts.

He's done and has been done....we've said our farewells already.
People need to let go of the nostalgia and accept the fact that he's one Priest Holmes-like hit away from being totally gone once again. Too much risk even at vet minimum IMO, If the Lions wanna take that chance, then so be it.

Not everything on PFT ends up being right, it is a rumor site after all, but they have largely reliable sources. This perception that there is some sort of agenda against the Broncos is laughable.

WILSON VISIT TO LIONS CONFIRMED
On Monday night, one of our moles in Motown spotted free-agent linebacker Al Wilson, prompting a conclusion that Wilson might be visiting with the Lions.
The Denver Post reports that a formal visit will occur on Tuesday (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_8234876).
Wilson was released in 2007 by the Broncos and did not play last season. He suffered a neck injury late in the 2006 campaign.

Not everything on PFT ends up being right, it is a rumor site after all, but they have largely reliable sources. This perception that there is some sort of agenda against the Broncos is laughable.
There's definitely some dislike between the PFT guy and Denver... generally more towards Shanny(he thinks he's overrated) but it sometimes leaks over to the rest of his Broncos coverage. Face it though, the Broncos of the last few years have been easy to poke fun at ever since the Brownco experiment and that's generally all he does.
