Just came home from shopping and i seen at least five cars with Giant sticker, license plate frame, and tow hitch covers.

Why is it after a team wins the SB, i see fans come out of nowhere?

I mean its a free country, just wondering why.

People want to be accepted. Want to be apart of a winner, as if they had something to do with the win. Always has happend, always will.

Good answer, i mean a lot of them were fans before their team won the SB.

I'm in NY and all last weekend during the superbowl week and the Mets getting Johan Santana every other person had either a Giant or Met shirt on. You could also tell some of these shirts were brand spanking new too.

I don't mind people rooting for any team but I never liked it at all when these so called fans come out of the woodwork only when their team or city does something good in sports and go back into hiding when their team is horrible.

Let em enjoy themselves till the giants get back to playing giant football next season and all that shyt they bought before the superbowl goes right back in the closet until the next time they threaten to win a playoff game.

I saw the same with the Broncos. Look around now to see who the real fans are. If they have a newer car and a Broncos license plate frame or sticker, they are in it for the long haul.

I think it's natural with people. Living in Baltimore, I saw the Ravens fan base blow up after their Super Bowl win, die down significantly through a few average and below-average years, shoot back up for their 13-3 season in 2006 and drop right back down again last year. Even here in Colorado, the Rockies had an influx of fans during their World Series run last year. What I've noticed is you get people who certainly like their home town teams and hope they do well, but seem to get very passionate when their team is winning. I think this applies to fans of all teams, its just that few teams have large contingencies of die-hards even when the team is losing. The Broncos fan base is extremely dedicated compared to some others. Hell, the Vikings game which was meaningless seemed to have a near full house. The Ravens last game against their arch rival Pittsburgh was about 1/4 empty with more Steelers fans at the game then Ravens fans.

I don't know how you couldn't. Their D-line starting with the Cowboys game was absolutely unbelievable. I can honestly say I have never seen a D-line be that consistent with pressure no matter how many they brought. I don't recall the 85 bears enough but this was the best D-line I have witnessed.

I wish Denver's could be half of the NYG's line.

Geez, it happened here in Denver, it happens everywhere. Half ass fans jump on the wagon. I have met many Bronco Fans who never paid attention to them until after the SB. I've also witnessed the clearing of the wagon the last feww years.

Say what?

I'd venture to say the opposite is more likely to be true.

His point is that the newer cars got their stickers and license frames in the leaner years. The older ones during the euphoria closer to SB wins.

Good for them. their team won the SB so they decided to go buy some gear. I need some new Broncos gear. Hopefully they'll win the SB next year.

Many times people are fans already and the Championship makes them proud so they go and buy stuff. I know a Bronco fan that only has gear left from the Superbowl wins. Any gear bought in a year where Broncos lose he feels is bad luck and he burns it. Granted he doesn't buy many expensive jersey's but instead sticks to hats and t-shirts etc. If Broncos won again he would go out and buy tons of gear and then could be mistaken as a bandwagon fan when he isn't.

Your love for a team is really tested when they're NOT doing well.

but the Broncos...the giants...any team...is for everybody to enjoy regardless of their devotion...regardless of record.
