My cousins used to live in Kirkwood, MO. It really is a very tame sort of community...at least until tonight.
I wonder if City Hall was one of those "gun-free zones"?

gun free for anyone who could stop someone who breaks the gun free law ... after seeing the story of the lady at the bank that was permitted but didn't bring it into the bank cuz of the gun free law , and someone held up the bank killing her parents ... while her gun was in her car ... seems fair , take away the one thing that could stop this ... a fair person with a gun ...

Exactly. I don't want to use this sad situation to get up on my soapbox, but if history has proven anything it's that "gun free zones" don't stop anything.

o come on ... i know your a lefty but dont start ... i still love you tho spider ... and i know , you would hit it ... "suzanna hupp" :O) ...
Suzanna Hupp Suzanna Gratia Hupp (born 1959) is a former Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, who represented traditionally Democratic District 54 (Bell, Burnet, and Lampasas counties) for ten years from 1997-2007. Hupp is recognized as a leading advocate for the Second Amendment and an individual's right to carry a concealed weapon. She was elected to her first term in 1996 but did not seek a sixth two-year term in 2006.
, 1991, Hupp and her parents were having lunch at the Luby's in Killeen. She had left her handgun in her car to comply with Texas state law at the time which forbade carrying a concealed weapon. When George Hennard drove his truck into the cafeteria and opened fire on the patrons, Hupp instinctively reached into her purse for her weapon, but it was in her vehicle. Her father, Al Gratia, tried to rush Hennard and was shot in the chest. As the gunman reloaded, Hupp escaped through a broken window and believed that her mother, Ursula Gratia, was behind her. Instead she watched as Hennard killed her parents and twenty-one other persons. He also wounded some twenty others. As a survivor of the Luby's massacre, Hupp testified across the country in support of concealed-handgun laws. She said that had there been a second chance to prevent the slaughter, she would have violated the Texas law and carried the handgun inside her purse into the restaurant.

You raise a good point spider, and when it comes right down to it, it's basically a rhetorical question. However, I can say this...in all of my research into firearms I have never heard of a case where a citzen who was legally carrying a firearm struck another citzen rather than the armed criminal. That's not to say it hasn't happened, but it's minimal at best and the chances of it happening are very small.

just got one of these http://www.thejudge.us/images/judge.jpg
The Judge - 4510TKR
fires both .410ga 3in magnums or 2half inch shotshells and .45colts
in the review this sums it up
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Judge, with both shotshells and solid bullet .45 Colt ammo. It offers a lot of versatility in snake country, and can be carried for urban defense loaded with shotshells, heavy .45 Colt hollowpoints, or a combination of both. A number four shot load followed by four hollowpoints might be just about ideal for social work

When Bill is making an appearance for Hillary, they'll pick you up trying to molest him, wearing some padding, a blue dress, a dark wig, and "holding" a cigar.

If Bill stops in W*GS' neck of the woods, then W*GS will undoubtedly make the 5:00 news by attacking him and trying to beat him to death with his autographed copy of the Starr Report (the one with the stuck-together pages and the lube stains on the cover.)

why did this thread get moved ?
Because it had to do with guns. I started a thread awhile back for firearm owners and some mod decided to dump it here, thankfully a few people made a stink and old guy (or is it old dude?) moved it to the off topics firearms.
I don't know who it is, but for some reason whenever a topic comes up that involves guns a mod(s) thinks it should be here.

I doubt the cop he killed was gun free. Usually cops are allowed to
carry guns even in so-called gun free zones. And the cops that
killed him were also allowed to bring their guns along.
