Silly observation, but, I just noticed none of the Patriots wear the new "C" on their uniforms.

Are they the only team to not participate in this? I feel like I have seen it on the jerseys of every other teams Captains.

I hadn't thought about it much ... but now that you mention it, I don't like it either. It's too much an individual thing, not enough a team thing. I hope we opt out of it next year.

Yeah, the NFL said it was voluntary on wheather teams had to wear them....

I hope we keep it. It's a symbol of respect and something for a lot of our younger players to work towards... letting the whole world know you're important to what matters most, your teammates.

Gotta say I like it as well. I was Captain of our soccer team and I loved having the arm band. It is something you have to work for both with performance and how you interact with the team and to get there you deserve to be noticed.

It's amusing that you constantly try to pick a fight with me. If you couldn't get me all mad the other day, it's not going to happen today for you either.

Not really, it's been in hockey forever.

I assume they put the C on the jersey for one reason....to sell more jerseys

Funny, Cutler is already one of the two offensive captains, so I guess he must've worked really quick.

see i like it in hockey but i dont like it in football, hockey the C was great when that was it, adding a few A s took away from it, and having like 12 captains on the football team takes away form it if you ask me. Id be fine with 1 O guy and 1 D guy, anything more takes away from the meaning of it to me.

I agree, I like it it's earned by guys like Lynch and Rod. Who no doubt are team players. Guys like Randy Moss or T.O. are never going to get it.

I remember in my 5th grade Basketball team we had a kid who wore a "C". It told him which bus to take going home.........

I don't mind the C per say but the design of the actual patch is horrible. It's yellow and black with stars under it... not sure if that's supposed to be a military thing or what but it looks like crap. Make it like the NHL where the team makes the C fit the style of the uniform and it's pretty cool.
