Found this on ESPN, and it has me concerned. I don't know how I would get through a year at work without NFL to look forward to during the weekend.

Gene Upshaw needs to burn at the stake. I swear, he wants a strike.

It's pretty simple really.

Players get 59 % of the gross revenue as it stands...they want more.

Say hello to a gaping freaking hole of pro football entertainment for a minimum of half a season.

Hey, maybe the NHL will get a ratings boost...I always thought Professional Lacrosse had some kind of curiously abstract appeal, and there's always the Monster Truck Pulls, billiads, bowling and the always uber-popular 'X' Games.

Upshaw is always rattling the saber. I'm not reading too much into it yet.

Watch college ball. It's a better game anyway.

Why, because there's no parity or because you know who to bet on?

there is no parity in the NFL. Ask the Colts and the Patriots.

I doubt there's a strike but if there was I would be sooooooooooo depressed without football over the weekened after a depressing week of school.

This isn't hockey, where the players agreed to a 25 percent pay cut. We're not going to do anything like that.
The NHL players' union was singing that tune too...Before they got into a strike. I don't think the playes quite know what they're doing to themselves here.

So I guess Bowlen isn't pissed as Shanahan management of the cap after all.

It can't be considered a better game until they get a real playoff system in place.

I'm all for labor unions and their right to defend themselves from corporatioons, but most of the time these sports strikes only accomplish setting the leagues back. Hockey is still struggling back from their strike. Baseball and Football both had lean years following their strikes. It just doesn't seem like it accomplishes as much as they think.

A strike will always leave a loser. A worker gets a raise, the company raises the price of its produce. The worker pays more for the produce. oh i lied the union wins

Dont think he was ever pissed with his cap management. Moreso his cash management in the form of bonuses.

More likely this was brought on by Bowlen's comments. Those "other" owners are probably the chronic complainers, like Ralph Wilson.

Fishing is good in the fall.......

In this case, I favor the owners......
