I don't think he's really unfair to republicans.

I love Keith Olbermann ... been watching him for over 20 years now. But yes, he's somewhat unfair to Republicans. Maybe not 'unfair' per se, but at the least he is biased against them.
They are both journalist/advocates, but the difference between Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly is that Olbermann is more intellectual and makes better arguments. With less anger. And less paranoia. And more class. And more humor.
And ... by the by ... Keith is not too happy with the Clintons these past three or four weeks.

So what if he is? I don't mind seeing Republicans kicked in the crotch repeatedly. They do it often to everybody else. If it wasn't for Democrats, this country would look like Medieval Europe.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. The right answer is, the MSM needs to step back, get factual and report the truth, not biased garbage. BOTH sides of the fence need to quit the crap they spew. If you really don't mind seeing repubs kicked in the crotch consistently, then you should EXPECT the dems to get the same in return. It will happen on general principle alone. Bottom line is , both sides need to quit this crap..dman

Are you including talk radio, where most of the people on there admit their bias and give their opinion about the news? Or just the MSM?

MSM in itself. The radio is a different story. If the liberals could find a way to be competitive on the radio, more power to them. I'm talking about the major television networks and cable television. Hell right now Fox news is biased as hell and I'm sick of them. CNN actually has some reasonable coverage for the most part...dman

LOL O'Reiley is full of **** though .Seriously ,The Malmedy Massacre , he totaly ****ed that one up , and instead of apologizing , he made it worse , Just like When O'Lielley claimed Canada was bankrupt , or when he claimed that France ,Canada , and Germany tax is 80% , I heard that on his Radio show in the summer , I went and looked it up , and O'Lielly is full of **** . the highest rate was France 44% , Canada @ 33% germany was like at 37 % ,meanwhile we are at 28% Cheaper then france , But then France cost of living is cheaper ...trade off I guess ...

They sat on their collective ass for the last 25 years while the right built a gigantic media machine.
Now they are reaping what they've sown.

The notion of objectivity that journalism should carry is a myth. There's bias in every headline, every lead, every tale told. The media should like Edward R. Murrow would act as a check to gov't that refuses to check itself. I see Olbermann doing this, even if he gets a bit too camply for my tastes. The Republicans, like the Cintons, have been for a long time unchecked powers.

He's so rabidly anti-Clinton that I can't even watch him anymore. And I've been watching him for years. I get the feeling management told him to get way out on the edge. For ratings.

He's a joke. He was a joke when he was doing sports and he's a joke now. Why anyone takes him seriously is beyond me.

CNN lost its way after Ted Turner gave his network up... matter of fact most news outlets did after the Telecommunications act of 1996

FACT: Keith Olbermann is the funniest, most talented, entertaining broadcaster alive today.
That said, YES. He IS unfair to Republicans. He's also unfair to Hillary Clinton, as he and the usual suspects he employs as his hand-picked everyday talking heads (Richard Wolffe, Dana Milbanks, Jonathan Alter, Rachel Maddow), are all 'in the bag' for Obama. Trust me, I never miss 'Countdown,' and Kayo bends over backwards to stir up Clinton controversies, and he frequently leads his usual-suspect talking heads to sya exactly what he wants them to say.
But Olbermann is not a "journalist" in the sense that qt uses, or in the standard TexanBob interposes above. Neither is Bill O'Reilly. Or Sean Hannity. Or Lou Dobbs. Or anybody on the radio. No, these outfits (MSNBC, Fox, CNN, AirAmerica, EIB, etc..) employ 'straight' journalists to read the news and headlines. The hour-long show hosts like these INTENTIONALY have points of view platforms, and they are far more interesting that way. That's why Anderson Cooper and Sheppard Smith are boring. They're both very talented, but because, in the Murrow tradition, they play it sraight down the line, they're boring.

I don't think we'll see anything like Murrow ever again. None of our current crop of news sources is capable of avoiding some form of dramatic undertow.
Olberman is hilarious and unique.
