Fassell will make sure they continue to achieve mediocrity for several more years to come. They they will have a fluke run every couple years and put up a descent record beforte their inevitable fall back to clownstown.
Sounds like another team that I know of.

Has anyone ever seen O and D coordinators put in place before the head coach? I don't recall ever seeing this before.

It happened last year with Phillips and the Cowboys. But the truth be known Danny Boy wants to be the coach.

I'd take a look at Saunders. And Williams too.

I'd consider Williams, but Saunders can rot. Still I think standing pat on coaches is the best thing for Denver at the moment. Let te horde of young guys get their footing in the league before switching their schemes again.

some commentators were saying how the redskins are a team on the rise and everyone would love that job. thats horsecrap, the redskins are gna suck for a while as they slowly impale themselves on the salary cap. and now they are giving up a huge chunk of their talent in their two coordinators.

its happening more now. coordinators are growing in stature, they aren't just replacable cogs at the head coaches mercy anymore(unless your in denver).

Gregg Williams was my first choice as a new DC when Coyer was cut loose. Realistically, I knew Shanahan would never even consider him, though. Williams will bench high draft picks and expensive free agents if they don't play and practice within the defensive scheme. That approach wouldn't sit well with Shanahan or Bowlen. In fact, I give little Danny Snyder a lot of credit for tolerating that from Williams because I know it must have driven him bug****.

I'd like them to have a scheme befoe they think about "standing pat" if you know our offensive philosophy or can figure out half the made calls this year please clue us all in...it was horrible. I still don't think Slowick is going to change anything, these guys all need coaching and from what I've seen none of that is happening. He11 I think Cutler disgressed in many way and could use a QB coach. I'd hire both these guys in a heart beat and keep them in place for the next 3-4 years while we get the talent they need.
Whenever I start to feel negative on how a coaching or GM decision turned out for Denver...I think of the Redskins and get all warm and fuzzy again.

That is Bull. One thing Shanahan has always done is cut guys who are not with the program.

IHOP
Carter
Henry
One year he brought in a TE gave him some cash and cut him in Training camp.
Don't Make Shanahate cloud your thinking

With Mike's program, not necessarily with the DC's program. Hell, the last DC was essentially stripped of his job duties at midseason and unofficially demoted. That shows you how much respect Mike has for anyone's program except his own.
I like Shanahan, but I want him to remember how to share again. Everything Mike needed to know, he learned in kindergarten.
When did we cut Henry?

The Skins are foolish for getting rid of both of these guys. Al Saunders is gonna help the St. Louis offense a ton

Well the Danny just named the DC - the current defense line coach. So the coaching staff if quickly being assembled without a HC.
any chance at all of shanahan taking a step backwards on slowik being DC and giving williams a shot? i'd love to have him
