The Dolphins have added ex-UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell to their offensive coaching staff.

The Chiefs, Broncos, and Texans had been in pursuit of Dorrell earlier this winter.

Dorrell will most likely be asked to coach Miami's wide receivers.

I seem to remember someone mentioning his people are not sought after, yet they seem to be getting hired all the time.

The offseason this far:

Glass Half Empty
- Dinger and Bates jump ship, man they couldn't wait to get out of here.
- Javon wants out, man how awesome would Walker, Marshall and Stokley have been?
- Dorrell picks a 1 win team over Denver, are we that bad?

Glass Half Full
- Dinger and Bates we're terrible, Slowik will bring back the blitz while Shanny will bring back his offense.
- Javon's okay with coming back, but if he's traded or released - he was a selfish player and has a bum knee anyway.
- Dorrell's not a good coach, UCLA sucked.

Which are you?

I love this logic. Do you honestly think the previous year's record has much weight when an asst coach picks a new location? Methinks not

I guess I made an unfair comment. Could be a lot of things including $$$, weather, chance of promotion or he likes the south beach dream.

The South Beach dream is pretty awesome.

I am still trying to find a way to own a SoBe condo down there completely off the radar. The....um...scenery...is spectacular.

A SoBe place off Lincoln Ave and a scooter...and thats all I need. A Sobe place...a scooter...and a Donzi....and thats all I need...

LOL. Clearly you have never been to South Beach. You should reserve judgment.

You pick the right ride for the area...and in Miami it isn't an IOM or Dakar bike. No matter how cool you feel it makes you.

I am just giving you a hard time. My buddy had a scooter that he bored out and tricked out. He passed a cop doing well over 60 and the cop just looked dumb founded.

Tiny streets, beaches and clubs = scooter.

Now if I was at Centennial Airport....with all that open space... I could see having a Desmosedici Duc. :)

When I was there we didn't run a bike but we ran a tricked out Viper and Mickey Garts Ferrari down the runway when it was closed. He let me drive the Ferrari absolutely amazing. Mickey Gart is one half of the Gart Brothers store owners.

I am jealous. That is like having your own private drag strip.

Speed is good. :)

Karl probably didn't want to retrace his career steps. By going somewhere else, he might have felt that he was still moving forward in his life...
