Todd McFarlane has revamped the 2008 NFL lineups in an effort to offer more figures of the league's best players, while simultaneously extending the sales window for the most popular Sports Picks series. He replaced two announced figures, the as-yet-unnamed "Rookie Draft Pick" figure and both surprise figures with Brett Favre, JaMarcus Russell, Tony Romo, LaDainian Tomlinson and Ben Roethlisberger.
In addition, we're pleased to announce our NFL 19 lineup - a four-figure line that will hit stores in late December/early January and feed off the excitement of next season's NFL Playoffs.
Take a look at the re-vamped NFL lineups for 2008:
NFL 17
Willie Parker - Pittsburgh Steelers RB
Brett Favre 5 - Green Bay Packers QB
Reggie Bush 2 - New Orleans Saints RB
Randy Moss 4 - New England Patriots WR
Tony Romo 2 - Dallas Cowboys QB
Joseph Addai - Indianapolis Colts RB
JaMarcus Russell - Oakland Raiders QB
NFL 18
Tom Brady 3 - New England Patriots QB
DeMarcus Ware - Dallas Cowboys DE
Brandon Jacobs - New York Giants RB
Adrian Peterson - Minnesota Vikings RB
Devin Hester - Chicago Bears KR/PR
LaDainian Tomlinson 6 - San Diego Chargers RB
Ben Roethlisberger 2 - Pittsburgh Steelers QB
NFL 19
Clinton Portis 2 - Washington Redskins RB
Jay Cutler - Denver Broncos QB
Donald Driver - Green Bay Packers WR
Marion Barber - Dallas Cowboys RB

Hell yeah!!
Wtf! No Rivers though? So disappointed.
If they made a Philip piece... would he be taunting players and fans?

Both, one would be a chase variant.;)
I can't wait to the the sculpt he will use for Jay-C. I've made a few customs using Plummer, McNabb and Chris Winke. But it's hard to get a perfect fit for Jay-C.

I'd imagine most people here collect some type of Broncos stuff. I just don't see the lure of collecting these things. This is not a knock on them and I know it's a matter of personal preference. Can a collector explain it to me? Is it the art of it? The value?
The same thing can be said about the Broncos stuff I collect so don't take my post personally.

While some of the older figures and variants (different paint scheme) are really high in value.
I collect for the art of the sculpt.

Same here. I try to get all Broncos figure that come out, although I only have 2 right now. They look pretty good in my glass cabinet.

They're STATUES!
Sorry that just reminded me of a commercial I saw, can't even remember what they were advertising but it was a funny bit.

And yet ultimately they rarely actually look like the person they're sculpting.

The Champ one is almost lifelike and the Elway one is also pretty damn good.

I just love having them in my office, a somewhat classy way of displaying Broncos stuff while keeping the office respectable, and a great conversation piece.
And yet ultimately they rarely actually look like the person they're sculpting.
While McFarlane will use sculpts for multiple players and repaint them, basically placing a new head on a old body.
But this can be understood for mass production time and saving on tooling.
But when his staff makes a original sculpt, it can turn out amazing.

I know, you're all asking yourselves, what did a rookie QB with questionable work habits and only 66 pass attempts do to rate his own McFarlane?
Simple economics. All they had to do was knock the head off a Duante Culpepper and change the 8 to a 2.
Voilą! JaMarcus Russell!
Now the cartons of unsold Duantes will have their trip to the local landfill delayed for a couple years. Only to eventually meet the same fate as unsold JaMarcus Russells.

The detail is great from the neck down. Their faces are almost always terrible. Look at the pictures that HEAV put up. Eddy Mac looks like Joaquin Phoenix. Look at others. They made Elway (http://www.spawn.com/toys/football/nfllegends1/jelway/images/nfllegends1_jelway_photo_03_dp.jpg) look like Peyton Manning. Bailey (http://www.paulbonomo.com/images/nfl16_cbailey_photo_01_dp.jpg) looks like Sugar Ray Leonard. :thumbsdow

Lol... Bailey DOES look like Sugar Ray, though!

The first Elway was lackiing in the face, the second made up for it.

As far as the Bailey, while I was thrilled with the pose, the face is dead on when you get a close up view.
Basically looking at the photo doesn't do it justice, the Shield and face mask get in the way.
I swear kay, some days you type just to get yourself off.

I used to collect the old Starting Lineups, have them all back home in Colorado except for a Redskins Champ Bailey one.
I like them because you can display them and they look incredible. The McFarlane ones are freakin outstanding, way, way better than the Starting Lineups EVER produced.
I want a Champ Bailey one, asked for one for Christmas, gonna ask again for my birthday.
