Where can you find some good College Football stats from 2007, such as the number of carries and fumbles a running back had, or tackles for losses and sacks by defensive lineman and linebackers, or passes defensed, interceptions and sacks by defensive backs, etc...I'd like to find some stats on Rashard Mendenhall, the stud running back from Illinois.....kind of reminds me of Terrell Davis in a way.... and Howie Long's kid Chris Long, who plays DE....good motor, good size, and excellent defensive player. If Denver could find a way to get these two players, they would immediately step in and fix two problems ASAP.
Denver needs some "stud-stout players," someone who can become a player that the other team has to be scared of, on both offense and defense. Who scares you on defense other than Champ? I am sure the Offensive Coordinators from the other teams, have a hey-day when they devise schemes away from Champ. Who scares you on offense other than Marshall and Cutler? Who scares you in the return game? NOBODY!!!! Then draft a stud return guy this year!!!! Field position....Field position....Field position!!!
They need more weapons, on both sides of the ball.....When was the last time you saw a 3 and out by the defense when they needed it? Denver needs to draft some studs this year, in order to get them over the hump. Chris Long and Rashard Mendenhall, are two that could help. Dip into Free Agency and sign a OT, DT and a DE, LB, S, and fix the present holes, and then draft some Offensive or Defensive play-makers that cause some headaches for the opposing teams coordinators.
