Some things you just don't mess with:
You can doubt the Curse if you choose. But to harbor this doubt after the Music City Miracle, Buffalo’s eight years of futility, the rise of the Chargers without Phillips and the fall of the Cowboys with Phillips seems a little, well, flaky.

The flaw in their logic is that, if Buffalo and Atlanta are still bad, shouldn't San Diego also suck instead of going to the AFC title game?

Yeah, I don't think logic was the key objective of the article....

I have no great love for Phillips (and I don't remember much about the benching of flutie that they refer to but they make it sound like one dumbass move....) but aren't I right in thinking that the Cowboys have sucked year-on-year untill he arrived? Despite the humbling loss I think that Phillips deserves some credit for what's he's done there this year.

Now remind me, what other team has gone 13-3, got the #1 seed, and then lost a squeaker at home in the first round of the playoffs? Hmm..anyone? Now how did that team go on to do, someone remind me?:wiggle: :wiggle:

What they fail to mention is why Flutie was benched In Buffalo and by whom....it was Ralph Wilson who demanded that Rob "Headband" Johnson start. Why do you ask? Well, it's been strongly suggested here in Bills country that if Flutie had started that game (or any playoff game for that matter) a certain huge incentive amount that was in his contract at the time would've had to have been paid to him. Wilson evidently had little faith in the team going all the way and thus decided to give his younger, QB of the future fresh in from JAX the start to save some cash and give Johnson some playoff experience.

The whole MCM incident gave rise to one of the best jokes in Bills country history, namely "Who needs a big Johnson when you have a little Flutie?"

Believe it..................or not.

Ignorance is bliss and the writer of that piece is approaching nirvana.

I only skimmed it. Does she mention that Flutie was such a divisive little influence in the lockerroom he got his ass all but blackballed from the League for about a decade Jeff George style?

The total lack of any humorous content made it tough to tell. Thank you for the clarification.
