Dude's very important for professionalism, and that counts for a lot on a team.

I especially liked all the big games where he was reduced to a cheerleader. We need guys we can count on to play a full schedule, he's OK when in the line-up but that is hit or miss these days. We really need some good young talent at the Safety position.

He isn't fast enough. We need someone with speed back there. I don't mind keeping him but he must take a paycut and he shouldn't be a starter anymore.

Name one person on this team who should start in his place...realistically.

I think that not having Sam Brandon available this year took a lot away from this defense. The "Big Nickle" had proved pretty effective over the first half of '06, and Brandon had developed into a solid situational guy. Antonio Gates showed marked improvement against us without Brandon covering him, and if I see Foxworth at safety ever again it will make me queezy.
Anyone know his status for next year?
Rodney Harrison isn't fast anymore, it's about playing smart, reading a QB and knowing your role.
Get some real preassure on the QB and the Broncos secondary is number one in the league.
John Lynch is a smart player and still has football left. That's if he wants it.

Bingo.
We've got a defense full of guys who can't even figure out where to line up on a given play. Hell, we had times where guys didn't know if they were supposed to be on the field or not.
Yea, I think some veteran leadership might be a good thing.
