Running for president does take time away from their normal job, but I wish to recognize the following people who have a perfect voting record (according to the link):

Senators:

Barrasso R-WY
Baucus D-MT
Casey D-PA
Collins D-ME
Feingold D-WI
Grassey R-IA
Kohl D-WI
Pryor D-AR
Reid D-NV
Salazar D-CO
Snowe R-ME

Representatives:

Altmire D-PA
Jackson D-IL
Kildee D-MI
Latta R-OH
Pelosi D-CA
Richardson D-CA
Tsongas D-MA
Wittman R-VA

Nice of you all to show up for work each day...^5

They should still make the votes. How that happens, I don't know, but it's what they get paid to do and they are NOT doing it. Why should I trust a one to handle their Presidential duties?

Well, to Hillary's credit, of the ones running for president, she missed the least votes.
Obama likes to make digs at her for the Iran vote, but he wasn't
even around to vote no on it. Too busy out campaigning.

I wish none of them missed any votes. I was suprised Ron Paul missed so many.

The only way I see around this is to vote by proxy, unless you ban any current sitting politician from running for president (which MIGHT NOT be a bad idea).

This isn't a bad idea. Bob Dole retired from the Senate when he ran.
Quit the Senate or the House and devote full time to campaigning.
If you lose, you can alway run for Senate or Congress in the next
election and try to get your seat back.

The technology is more than in place for these exceptions.
