I know there are some knocks on the zune - and ipod's have lots more accessories.

But really, if you can go to a store and play with both, then see which one you dig more.

I had a dilemma of going with an iphone or the ATT Tilt - i went with the tilt due to the functions that it can do, that the iphone couldn't.

For music only, neither Apple nor Zune. Instead I recommend:

I just bought this 2GB beauty at Best Buy for $49 open box ($59 regular price), and I
highly recommend it ... A W E S O M E ! The interface is an Apple ripoff, but the LED lights
and the price (duh) kick iPods everlasting rear end.

For music WITH video, neither Apple nor Zune. Instead I recommend:

Creative ZEN playrs feature bigger screens (turn the screen sideways, Apple - duh!).
They have resultant better resolution, too. My gf has the 30G version, and it is a truly
wonderful piece of equipment. Makes the iPod and Zen video models look like
freaking Romper Room. Less expensive, too.

I really don't get why anyone would want a FM radio in there MP3 player.
FM radio consists of close to 22 min of commercials per hour, more then a third of listen time listening to BS!

Then you have to listen to some jack-off DJ. No Thanks.

I listen to way to much talk radio. For that I have a Sirius Stiletto. I record Stern every morning and listen when I can.

It does have a MP3 player, but it is PAINFUL to get mp3's on.

Thanks for the info, I will check it out. Is there a pod cast anywhere?

I am going to start a "talk radio" thread.

Gotta agree 100% ... I listen to talk and news on AM radio, and an AM band would be much more appreciated by me. Orange_Beard is right - FM plays music, which you should have loaed on the player, but with commercials.

AM would make a lot more sense.

What if the broncos game is on and for some god forsaken reason you aren't near a tv? Or you get sick of your mp3's?It's an added bonus, why complain?

The Broncos are on AM.

Which makes my point. FM is largely music, and therefore generally redundant in an mp3 player. But AM is news, sports, talk ... something you don't load with mp3s. I've noticed this anti-AM bias in portable audio for years, with Walkman and especialy Discman. I had at least three Discman units, and only one had AM.

I have a zune.

BTW. Sansa's ****ing suck. I tried one, I took it back after a week. I can't express how ****ty the file transfering and interface, just eveything about it was.

BroncoBuff

The interface is a stone-ripoff of iPod Nano of course.... and SanDisk adds the cool blue LED lights.

The files transferred very easily for me - very. I have over 200 songs on there now. ??? One small complaint - the battery needs recharging about every other day (it recharges via USB only) ... I got caught without juice at the gym Saturday after trusting the 14-hour batery life estimate. I guess the volumes I listen at (high) drains it a bit quicker. It does re-charge VERY fast, though.

I tried 2 sansa's took the first one back because I thought it wasn't working correctly. Second one did the same ****, everything about them frustrated me. This was like 2 years ago though, they may have learned by now. I however will never buy another, nor reccomend it, after the customer support and problems I had with it.

Dogcow, clearly you made the mistake of buying the WRONG COLOR SansaClip ...

They do make a model that better suits your fragile sensibilities:
