View Full Version : Ron Paul = Ross Perot
Yup, I know the adherents to Paul may be looking up my address to burn my house down or to eat my children – but Paul is this century’s version of Ross Perot. Except this group of Paulette’s seem a more radical group. They are not radical because of the ideas – but in some of their actions and have threatened several talk show hosts for daring to question the leader of this non-movement’s movement. Paul is not a clone of Perot in terms of ideas, but in terms of the naiveté of his followers. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is great for the political process to have a big tent and discuss ideas that could make the USA better. Ron Paul has some great ideas, but is he really the guy to communicate that message? He is dead-pan, and looks like a catcher’s mitt. Also, he talks about reducing the size of the government, yet consistently will put in pork for his district. I heard him justify this hypocrisy – by saying in essence well, there going to spend it anyway; we might as well get our piece of the pie, and spend it on the local level.
Now, when he comes in fifth – we all get to see fifteen posts about his momentum. The numbers nationally do not reflect the small minority of enthusiastic supporters.
And now, I bid you all an everlasting farewell – as you may never hear from me again for stating the freaking obvious – Paul will only be relevant as a spoiler. Until you can combine some of his message with a personality of Obama or Huckabee the movement will only creep upward as fast as “global warming.”

Interesting since we got RomneyRadio that things like this would happen.

Well he at least has experience as an elected official. That said, I think his political career is doomed to the same fate as Perot's.

I like the comparison. Perot managed 39% until he strangely dropped out of the race. He jumped back in later, but never regained his support.
I wonder what would make a third party candidate with a comfortable lead suddenly drop out of a race. Probably just got tired of winning.

;D i was listening to Allen Combs a few days ago ( perhaps a week ago ) a Ron Paul supporter called up , Allen said he knows Ron Paul personaly , likes him , but doesnt agree with Paul on alot of issues , this Ron Paul supporter went ape **** , literally screaming into the phone , accusing Allen Combs of being part of the media keeping ron paul down .......thats just one example ...John Gibson gets his fair share of RP supporters calling and going off the wall also

Yes, you caught me...
I am part of a secret society that is funded by the UN -- we hope to implant the number of the Beast on American wrists and heads starting with Ron Paul supporters. Without the cash-flow they will not not be able to buy or sell, or donate large amounts of funds to Ron Paul. If we dont stop Ron Paul he will certainly topple the whole damn system of oppression we have been building for years with the Gaff's knowlege of conspiracy application, and remote radio control devices in his mother's basement.

Ron Paul is the real deal. Can you say that about Perot?
Of course not. Sheesh. So obvious.

I really like what RP has to say, but I have noticed his fans are nuts. On other message boards, you get hammered if you even remotely go against the guy.
But he's inspired me to actually register to vote. And I'll be throwing my vote away on him. So that's pretty neat.

i have no data to support this hypothesis, but i sense that Perot was threatened somehow and his borderline paranoia took over.
it was curious how that happened all of a sudden.
