I'm mildly surprised. I still don't know who I'm voting for but I'm looking at someone with a plan for bringing the troops home and getting control of social security. I'm with you tsi, I'd like govt spending brought to a halt but basically Bush hasn't left much to spend.

Problem for Obama is while he won Iowa he still has a 20 point defecit in the polls to Clinton.

Only two presidents have won Iowa before, Carter and the current liar in charge so it probably doesn't mean much except when you take into consideration the demographics of Iowa this could be huge for Obama.

I'm wondering if polls will tell any story this election. I think it will be neck and neck to the Democratic Convention. Same with the Republicans as far as different sections of the country.

It appears Edwards will finish 2nd, making it even worse for Clinton (although the difference between the two is pretty small).

It will be interesting to see polls in the coming days. With the major turnout on the Democrat side it says something especially in Iowa that Obama won with even a sizeable margin. Could be a interesting election to say the least.

Exactly and I heard on NBC that he won a lot of young women votes. Votes that were supposedly locked up by Billary.

It was my understanding that Hillary's base is older people.
That may be why Obama won, because a lot of young
and independent voters showed up. It will be interesting
to see how this goes, especially in states that don't allow
independents to vote in primaries.
