Its not even that...its the fact that someone is chastising other fans for preferring a loss because its more advantagous in the big picture.

You really think a few spots in the draft make that much of a difference. After the top 5 players the talent is about all the same for the rest of the first round. Broncos like to move around on draft day anyways so when they trade down to the 20th spot you will really be pissed won't you? What makes you think you know anymore about the big picture then Anubis does?
How do you know that another crushing blow out loss would not adversely effect a player or 2. Maybe the team quiting would be what it took for Bowlen to say Shanny has lost the team. It could be young players are more fired up for offseason workouts because they played hard for the coaches today and won, and maybe now have a little more faith in the program.
Hoping for a loss is weak, weak, weak. If the loss happens then it's ok to say well we have a better pick now. But to hope for your team to lay down like a bunch of punks is repugnant. You obviously never played football!!!!!!!

At the same time I don't think less of fans who hoped for a loss as long as you hoped it would just be because the other team outplayed Broncos. But you should never hope for your players to show a lack of respect for the game, the coaches, and themsleves by giving anything less the 100 percent. You start doing that and you might forget how to give it.

Different people react differently to the same situation. Some people when team is playing like crap and losing will say, "friggin stupid Broncos, this game is over!!!" I get mad and fall into that camp. Other will be like, "it's ok we had 5 drops an int and 4 sacks but we can still comeback have faith!!!!." Many of you fall into that camp. The thing is though both of those camps are diehard fans and would give their left nut, or nipple for the ladies, to see the Broncos come back and win. One fan is not better then another because you Boo, are a homer, are a pessimist, are a realist.
The only thing that makes you a crappy fan is if you don't pull for the Broncos each and every year no matter what!!!!!!! We got beat this year but next yr is a new year. And the yr after that another new yr. Who knows what the future holds outside of the fact if we are alive we will all be tuned in on Sundays to see what our boys in blue and orange are doing. Thank the football gods i will never have to remember the time my team layed down like a bunch of Kansas City Fagggottts!

There are very two distinct sides you can see it in JCM's poll. There are the win at all costs and the lose for the better. Its like oil and water. I am a win no matter what guy but I am not going to call out the lose to be good guys. I wasn't in the chat though but based on the past I could see Anubis getting mad.

to be fair in the poll the difference is between 9 and 18, which is ENORMOUS. and is the equivalent of a top 1/3rd second rounder. I think some ppl woulda flipped between 9/18 and 9/12.

Remember the year we dedicated to Darrent Williams And Damian Nash? That was cool how we just layed down like punks those last few weeks to get a better draft pick. I hope they are proud of us.
I'm afraid anyone who thinks the team should have lost on purpose need to really think about what something like that means to spirit.

Why, its not so bad being me. Im still me and some of you are still you. If thats cool with you than fine. I dont have a problem that you dont like the thread. Im more about winning Super Bowls than I am winning meaningless weak 17 games. All todays win was, was an attempt to spray perfume on a pile of ****. No matter how much Anubis wants to spray on it, it doesnt change the fact that this season was horrible. Whats the point of calling it anything other than what it was? To walk away with satisfaction from winning one meaningless game is dumb especially when its benefits us more to lose.

Now that our year is over we look forward to watching the Chargers lose. In fact I predict some sideline drama between Rivers and LT that will be amusing. Hopefully Chargers will win the first one so LT really starts to think they have a shot, then just get crushed and look foolish.
It is better to make the playoffs I will never argue that. It's just funny how quickly you will be in same boat as Broncos because you are a marginal team. Soon we will all be looking forward to next year.

The Chargers are the best balanced team in the playoffs. The Chargers need Rivers to make a few plays and avoid TO.
We do have a very difficult road to follow in that we must win in both Indy and Pats if things go as most believe they will. But the Chargers have won on the road at both locations before.
Jamal Williams heath is also very important. The Bolts must avoid shoot outs and look to win 24 -21 type of contest. But your right you have to make the playoffs before you have a shot at anything.

I expect you base that on your own personal experience from past dealings with Anubis Gladius maximus. ( Up the rear)
Funny we Charger fans know the powder Blue to be the colour of
Charger dominance during the early years of the A.F.L. I can see how a knowlegable Denver fan could confuse the two.

Yeah.. I've only been around since the late 70's. Suppose you can understand why I wouldn't remember the "dominance" of your pre-NFL team. I just thought you were trying to be "limp-wristed but not flaming" by typing in powder blue instead of hot pink. Thanks for the history lesson RMANANCY.

The Pats have a great offense but on defense their LB group is very old and the DB group is thin. If they get in a slug fest game which could easily happen in New England in January with the snow , wind ,cold the defense will end up playing a lot longer as the Pats offense will not be able to dominate threw the air.
Lets see the 38 year old LB and just what type of legs they have especialy if the face Jacksonville and then the Chargers who both have power run games.
Both Jax and S.D. have more balance than the Pats. That said if it turns out to be a scoring fest then the Pats win.

I think that would be even more demoralizing for their team.
