In the most points against category! We are currently tied for third trailing only Detroit (410) and Miami (399). We are sitting at 390.
GOOD JOB DEFENSE, WAY TO GO!
Should be interesting to watch the NFL's best rush offense vs. the NFL's best GAPE defense. Peterson could have us at 410 by the half.
Great quote from the DPO today:
Broncos safety John Lynch said. "The saddest thing for me is Darrent's mom came to us and said the best way we could honor him is to get to the Super Bowl, and we didn't get that done for him. We tried. It didn't work out."
No John... you and a few select others tried... The rest of them $hit the pot and played the game of football like they gave two craps about DWill, the Broncos, the fans or the city of Denver.
Today marks the final chapter of the most heartless club i've ever seen in my time as a Denver fan... EVEN the 94' team had more heart than this one. I never thought I would see a defense play worse than that one... until this season. Thank goodness we've hit rock bottom because it couldn't be much worse than watching this team in multiple blowout losses to the Chargers (after they talked a bunch of a crap), Indy, Jacksonville, Detroit, Houston, and Oakland. I'm pretty sure that the Vikes will take us behind the woodshed as well which means that we just got swept by the NFC this season.
