This is a good list of defefensive tackles. If Haynesworth and Corey Williams are out of our price range then maybe the Broncos target Starks, Sopoaga or Tim Anderson. Anderson and Sopoaga could be cheap run stopping defensive tackles that could be signed for 1.5 million or less. Ethan Kelly also might be a cheap player to sign that fits Bates scheme. Also Ryan Sims might be worth a shot as camp folder.

Albert Haynesworth is playing lights out this year because its a contract year for him. I'll be severely disapointed if Shanny gets another guy with character concerns.

People are crazy if they think FA can fix this team. You use FA to fill a couple spots here and there but Broncos need like 6 new starters on defense. Plus many of the FA wil resign with there own teams.

Bring back Nick Eason!!!

(or don't)

Pretty sure Bryant Young is retiring, Ted Washington is eligible for Social Security, and Haynesworth would IHOP us after signing a huge deal. There might be a few mid range guys to go after, guess we'll see.

Can someone fix the spelling.

I just have this thing that I think we should be a notch above Raider fans when it comes to this stuff.

I like Randy Sparks, Corey Williams, Ian Scott, or Tim Anderson. But who I really would like is Frank Okam.

The League will be poorer without Bryant Young's presence. Consistently outstanding production year after year and as classy a pro athlete as you're ever going to find. He belongs in the Hall of Fame some day, but I'm certain he'll be snubbed.

ive already voiced my opinion on Corey Williams in a number of threads...

We should break the bank for him IMO

As usual, you know your guys slap. Young has been a perennial over achiever, overcome a potential career threatening injury from 10 years ago, and is a great citizen. Totally agree he is HOF worthy, but the number of 49ers in the Hall and going soon may work against him for awhile.

Corey Williams may be a good player, but he and the whole Packers team took the week off versus CHI. Horrible game to evaluate a player. At least I should get to see him in the playoffs ;D

How many of these guys are over 30? Those are the guys the FO will probably target, as usual.

Secondly, how many here actually think a FA defensive lineman would want to come here? Especially after this season.

Corey Williams and Randy Starks would be more than adequate for DEN.
Along with MThomas and a 4th round selection like Trevor Laws (ND), DEN would have made a HUGE upgrade at DT.

Its not as bad as it looks at for DTS in FA guys.
Also, forget Haynseworth, Fisher already has stated "he isnt going anywhere."
He gets re-signed or franchised.

I like the idea of signing Sopoapa ,Cory Williams and Tim Anderson. We already have a young guy in Marcus Thomas .Lets see where he developes. Williams should cost 4 million , Sopoapa about 1. 5 million and Tim Anderson about 1 million. Then Broncos use Draft pcks on linebackers and offensive lineman. the Broncos might even have money to go after Gross and maybe a guard like Justin Smiley.

6? That Seems to be a lot. CB Champ and Dre seems fine. MLB DJ seems fine. DE Elvis, Moss, Crowder should be fine. DT Thomas is a keeper. Safety Hamza is going to start.

I think we will have 2 new LB's 1 new Safety and a new DT starting next year. This is only counting guys that are not on the team this year. So 4 new starters

I remember we targeted Ian Scott in FA this past offseason. He ended up just resigning with Chicago? I remember he thought he was gonna get some badass deal and then got jack squat. Freakin hilarious.

Just looking at free agents and the draft is too short sighted.

Think trade as well. There will have to be at least one partially disgruntled player on a "deep" team that would be happy to come to Denver, especially with the history of good pay & renegotiated contracts. Think Champ and Dre. We need to look for a player we want, then try to trade for him. Forget the overpriced FA market, unless it is our last option.

Good idea.

I recently heard Detriot is looking to unload one Shaun Rodgers this offseason.

I still remember what the big man did to us this season. If hes motivated, hes a baller.
