I can't see a whole lot of positives for you guys to take from tonight's game. Looks like Shanny has his work cut out for him in the offseason.

Yeah its hard to figure out where to start when all you have is maybe 12 pieces to a 52 piece puzzle. Here's to LT getting some glory he's about the only person I can root for on the Chargers.

GUTLESS. This team needs to find some heart to go with BMarsh, Cutler and a few others. The rest of them can go fall right the f*** off a cliff.

It would've been a much tougher win since we'd potentially have moved ourselves from a top 10 pick to the middle of round 1. By strength of schedule we'd probably have wound up picking around 15, i.e. at a place where we can't get **** done.
A big chunk of our team mailed this one in, which is disapointing, but its not so bad when you realize that said big chunk will not be welcomed back next year. The only real concern I have is where we'll find DT and OT talent. The linebackers will be an easy overhaul, the secondary is already there, the interior line is young but getting better (and will get a veteran leadership infusion from Hamilton or Nalen for next year), and we have the weapons to score on offense.
But you don't win football games if you lose the battle in the trenches and controlling the middle of the field, we do both because our interior defenders are weak up the gut and our exterior blockers fold like a house of cards. We're 4 or 5 guys away from being a very powerful team, but they need to be 4 or 5 specific types of players, real hard nosed, make you bleed and quit by the end of the first half, maladjusted SOB types.

IMHO we have to stop the raider style, pay big money to over the hill types, personnel decisions. read travis henry, dre bly. and go more towards youth like doomervil and scheffler. we need to find a way to measure "chip on the shoulder" attitudes.

We'll see how the Chargers do in the playoffs. What good team have they beat besides squeeking by against the colts(manning 6 INT's and Adam V missed 29 yd game winner) and a gift against Tenn from the refs? I'd feel real good being a Chargers fan about my N. Turner led team.
