First off I'll say - This is not a thread attacking Champ Bailey! Champ is my favorite player, and we here know he is the best CB in the game. Don't get me mixed in with the other Champ criticism out there.

Anyway.. Anyone hear the commentating tonight mention Champ Bailey has been thrown to 63 times, allowing 37 catches (58%)? He was commending him on the stat. Is there a site that tracks all of these type of stats for corner backs? It's pretty difficult to track what passes were allowed by who at times. I remember reports last year saying he only allowed 4 catches all last season, then other reports saying the number was higher. To my knowledge there is no viewable database for these type of stats. If there is, I would be very interested in seeing it.

well considering how pathetic our pass rush is that's incredible. 37 catches allowed is only a about 2.5 per game.

I thought that stat from last year was false.

Champ was thrown at 47 times last year, officially from DEN grading. Only allowed 20 catches, of which 12 were under 7 yards.

There is no reliable web site that has these stats in real time, but KC Joyner will release the end of year stats he tracks in the offseason with his release of Scientific Football. Teams WILL release their official numbers to the networks in their production meetings. The numbers they get will be confirmed from game film review. No web site will have the official numbers as they are team determined and not released to the public.

its also difficult to determine that he was covering a particular player, espically when in zone coverage
