A vote for anyone else is a vote for more corruption of our federal government, federal reserve system, IRS...etc etc etc

Ron Paul looks like a nice guy with some good ideas, but he doesn't have the charisma to lead an anti-establishment revolution, IMO...

Just like when pop/main culture absorbs the hippy movement, and 90's flanel - everything is "nice" - ron paul is the "pop culture figurehead" (so to speak) of the brewing sentiment of many people in this country.

Ron Paul has zero chance IMO. I like a lot of what he says, but I just don't think he could get any of his proposals through congress. That's why people don't see him as a real option. As President Ron Paul would have to write much of his own legislation because his ideas are pretty extreme. Chances are Congress would shoot most of them down. We all know how it works right?
I could see Hilliary winning, not getting enough of a majority, then failing to get socialized medicine through even though she wants to. It's just the way it is. President has a lot of power but enough to get rid of half the goverment and close every military base. No way Congress would go along with that.
An astonishing 56% of Maners from very diverse political camps would write in their vote for Ron Paul. That is truly amazing and indicative of a real political revolution.
This is going to be very interesting to watch unfold.
I agree with TJ Ron Paul has a real chance to win it all.

You clearly miss the point and you continue to be fearful to look in the dark closet. Did you watch the Beck interview it address' your skepticism very nicely.

And you clearly missed stats class...
Your sample size needs to be a little bit larger to be considered "truly amazing and indicative of a real political revolution"

Basically all it proves is that a lot of people, mostly men, who frequent
the internet are for Ron Paul. But didn't we sort of know that already?

The Republican Paul cheerleaders will soon discover a harsh reality about the 2008 election (he has only slighty higher than zero chance of being elected).
And he has already emphatically stated a big NO on running on any other ticket.

There is real potential for exponential growth for his candidacy.

Yeah I've heard this argument before from Paul supporters, I also have been told that if I don't vote for Paul...I am a traitor of this country. Now comments like those and there are worse comments, turn me off completely to vote for Ron Paul. It's also why Paul supporters are being banned from Blogs because they cannot handle disagreement about their candidate.

I voted for Ross Perot in 1992. 18% of Americans who bothered to vote in 1992, voted for ross. in a 3 way race, 34% would have won.
Ross was a crackpot.
We knew that at the time.
Voting for Ross in '92 was a matter of principle - a "protest vote", if you will.
I hope Ron gets that kind of traction.
I'll probably vote for him weather he gets the traction or not.
A vote for a 3rd party candidate is not "wasted" - every vote counts exactly the same - regardless of who you vote for.
Vote your concience. You'll be glad you did.

Ross was a crackpot.
Actually, history has vindicated his positions on some important issues.
Take trade policy, for example: Bush 41 was wrong, Clinton was wrong, and Perot was right, it turns out.
