MARSHALL INCIDENT CONFIRMED

Though the extent of the situation is still unclear, we're confirmed via another league source that Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall was involved in a verbal altercation on Monday with receivers coach Jeremy Bates.

Marhsall is regarded as one of the better young receivers in the NFL. However, supreme talent might not be the only thing he has in common with the likes of Terrell Owens.

Coincidentally, Marshall pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to DUI charges. He was arrested on October 22.

Hopefully Brandon's rant on Jeremy Bates went something like this:

'I am going to whip the dog crap out of your skinny white ass if your dad can't devise a scheme to get to the ****ing quarterback.'

I see ya Sassy, but i think he'll be ok in the end.

This had been a frustrating season to say the least.

With Walker being out most of the year, it has put some added pressure on Marshall.

I know he's got the talent and is right there with Cutler as one of the players Denver has to build around for the future.

That said, I just plain don't like brash, mouthy, prima donna players and if Marshall turns into one of them, well...I won't like him either no matter what he does on the field (for the record, I never liked Sharpe's antics or mouth either).

If anyone doesn't like that, well I don't care..............deal with it.

When your losing tempers are bound to flare. Especially with a young player and a team full of new coaches. And people there are a lot of coaches on this team. Too many if you ask my opinion.

It would be like them adding 3 bosses to your shift during the comnpanies worst year ever. Things wouldn't be fun.

Having said that Marshal worries me a little bit. He seems to have that predisposition to get into trouble.

I've heard quite the opposite from pretty good source, but who really knows...and, realistically, does it matter??

There's a hallway...perhaps even more than one...between areas of the Bronco complex that generates a kind of echo chamber.

Players like to yell and hoot walking through it (them), just to make noise.

Coaches & trainers are known to yell at players to quiet down, and I suppose it could sound angry when it's really not.

It's interesting that this would even leak out considering how confined the trainers area is away from any peeking eyes...or ears.

Oh well, rather tame considering the turmoil of this season in it's entirety.

Im curious as to why people want to young adult males (who on average have aggression issues), watch them perform a violent profession and fully expect them to be model citizens off the field?

And then, when they're accused, they're immediately guilty regardless of due process simply due to being young males in violent professions.

Why do you have such low expectations?
Now you're assuming all athletes have aggression issues?

They are a model for kids...why would you expect them to be any less that a model citizen.

Sorry...but if you're picked up for a DUI...and they test your blood alcohol and send you to detox...you're pretty much guilty..now, whether he gets off or not is a different deal altogether.

So your last string that you're clutching too of marshall having an attitude and being an ass is an open case for a DUI?

You really want to hate him!

Nice job putting words in my mouth.
Let's pretend that it wasn't Marshall for a moment, shall we.
I'd still say the same thing regardless.

1. IF You get picked up by the cops, you more than likely are doing something you shouldn't be doing.

2. If you get arrested you are probably breaking the law.

3. Blood alcohol tests and getting thrown in detox?...are you saying that person wasn't drinking? Now, they may get off on a technicality but if that person has alcohol in them...they shouldn't have been drivign regardless of
how much they drank.

That maybe true...but kids still follow sports and not all of them have

You've called him an ass with an attitude problem. Your only interaction with him has been working his ass off for the team you "support". DENVER (CBS4/AP) ― The legal troubles are over for Denver Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall.

Prosecutors dropped charges against Marshall, who had faced domestic abuse charges and false imprisonment charges after an incident with his girlfriend in March.

An Arapahoe County District Attorney's spokesperson said the charges were dropped after Marshall completed anger management classes.

Attorney Harvey Steinberg said the charge was dismissed Friday in a Douglas County court.

Marshall was arrested in March after a woman who identified herself as his girlfriend said Marshall had used his vehicle to block her taxi as she tried to leave his home in the Highlands Ranch development south of Denver.

She said they had been arguing.

"I think when a complete investigation was done and all the facts were brought to light, it was clear why Brandon did what he did," Steinberg said. "They (prosecutors) agreed to take a second look and came to this conclusion."

A police report said the woman told investigators that after blocking the taxi, Marshall jumped out his car and ran to the taxi's passenger window, punching it and calling the woman names.

Marshall denied hitting the window and told officers he was trying to get his cell phone back, the report said. He said he'd loaned it to her because her cell phone was being repaired.

The driver of the taxi reversed the car and managed to get around Marshall's vehicle, the report said.

Okay so you have no evidence reflecting "violence", you have "false imprisonment" where the taxi driver simply backs out, yet its my fault?

Have you ever considered the Broncos organization? What are players supposed to do the moment any legal trouble begins? Contact the coach and organization? Have you even considered for a moment that maybe Shanahan or the Broncos legal staff directed Marshall to just take a class so it can be done with and he can focus on training camp and the off-season program?

But something like that, and the concept of innocence, is completely above your head.

Absolutely. Unlike you, however, I choose to believe facts.

The facts are:
1. Chargers were dropped on "domestic violence" and "false imprisonment"
2. He has plead not guilty to a DUI.

If you choose to incriminate someone for what you feel, more power to you.

Personally, I feel you're a fudgepacking little kid that PMs profanities because you can't handle being wrong, but if I start a thread and say "TGN is a fudgepacking little kid", it doesn't make it true, but apparently you and Sassy would agree that you are with no supporting evidence.

I can't make it this year -- how about you and sassy? it's been kinda cold here this year, but nothing compared to your homelands!

No. We won't be there this time either. The fact that it falls on Christmas Eve sucks...and isn't workable. It's a bummer though because we have truly enjoyed the SD trip the last two years. We opted for Houston this year and just got back...see the tailgate thread for Hogan's experiences! We are talking about going back for next year depending on the schedule.

How do you know what his teammates/the league think of him? Isn't that speculation on your part?

I haven't labeled Brandon at all...I respect his talent and his play on the field as long as it doesn't result in penalties that hurt the team and I am reserving my judgement on whether or not he will be a success in the league because he is a young player. My opinion is that if he doesn't change the behavior/attitude IE: Growing up! It will get him into trouble IF it hasn't already done that...we'll wait and see.

Racial profiling. I wouldn't go there personally but Req obviously did.
