Huckabee is even more amazing. The last CNN poll for S Carolina
I could find had Huckabee at 3%. Now he's the leader polling 24%
of the vote. And both Rasmussen and Newsweek have Huckabee
at 39% in Iowa, where Huckabee was only around 3% in Iowa
only a few months back.

Unfortunately I think Ron Paul is another victim of main stream media. They won't go for someone who is so grass roots. The media will back what their viewers want. Many of us are all for Ron Paul but unfortunately a lot of the money isn't. Its sad really because I love his policy and ideals.

The media will back what their corporate bosses want.

Didn't the Founders write, "...no religious test for office in the United States?" Looks like the GOP disagrees with that concept.

Chris Matthews hates Ron Paul with such vehemence that when his producers force him to cover a Ron Paul story, he slavers like a rabid dog. Ha!

We trump the money though as long as we keep talking about Paul. Some co-workers were talking about the caucas today in Iowa. It was a perfect opportunity to express to them the importance of the constitution and how Ron Paul is talking about living up to it.

I am reminded of the bus boycotts in the 60's by brave men and women in Alabama. Was it easy? No. They still needed to get to work, but they hit the "man" in the pocket book and the "man" lost. The "man" even sent the other "man" with night sticks to make these people ride the buses, but they pressed on.

I'm glad I decided to wear my boots. The **** is getting DEEP! Comparing the Ron Paul "movement to the "movements" of the 60's is REACHING!

Ever see that fool Hannity when he encounters Dr. Paul? It's hilarious how bent out of shape he gets.

Still, the whole Paul "movement" is a total waste unless he goes third party and accepts the Libertarian Nom. When I think of all the good he could be doing for the Libertarian Party with this campaign instead of wasting his time on the closed minded GOP...It makes me angry.......very angry.

I agree. The GOP has floated free from all of its founding principles. That's why people like Bill Buckley and ***uyama have publicly turned their backs on it. They are now the party of big government, big spending, imperialist foreign intervention, nation building, intrude on your privacy, shove our religion down your throat, torture, wiretap, pre-emptive war and corporatocracy. Paul should cut himself loose from their sinking ship and launch in a new direction. Of course, the Libertarians won't do much better unless they jettison their radical W*gs wing.

I wonder that aloud too. I get in arguments with my father in law all the time because he is a necon republican to the corp. I tell him I am a real republican, a libertarian, what republicans are supposed to be. Man it drives him nuts. But his ideals all align well with Paul its just the religion and other uber conservative nonsense that he closes his mind off.

Check out this interview between Hannity and Paul from yesterday. Sean has really toned it down...

I don't see where Huckabee appealing to Christians to vote for him
because he is a Christian is any different than Hillary urging women
to vote for her because she is a women or Oprah urging blacks
to vote for Obama because he is black.

You mean Chris Matthews actually found time to stop bashing Hillary and
talk about another candidate? I'll bet when he was talking about Ron
Paul he somehow managed to find a way to criticize Hillary too.

You didn't say that he wouldn't get elected you said he would be out of it soon.

No doubt. He really has the axe for Billary, for some reason. He went on a tirade about Ron Paul a few weeks back and there was spittle flying out of him.

I'd say that the undercurrent going on between him and Mitt constitutes a religious test. And that's only a small part of the larger picture. Among all of the candidates, going to church is now as required as shooting a duck.

Yeah, I can understand Dick Morris and his constant Clinton bashing
because he is still pissed that the Clintons fired him. And the jokers
on Fox News because that appeals to their audience. But I can't
figure out Matthew's grudge.
