LMFAO....The Pats and Jets acting like young siblings. BB pulls the rug out from Mangini first (although he doesnt report it the NFL or demands tapes) and then Mangini responds his next opportunity. Classic. I hate the Jets and their fans. Would be nice if the NFL demanded those tapes to see whats on them. And it seems a lot of teams agreed to break the rules. If the camera is not in some type of inclosure, then its against the rules. Although I would love to see the Jets furthor crippled with the loss of a 2nd and 3rd, even if the NFL decided to look into it, this is a rule the NFL clearly knew was being broken by many and only decided to enforce it at the start of this season.

Good times.

Can anyone read? Mangini says its a common practice by his team and others to put a non inclosed camera on the FIELD, in the endzones. This violates two clear rules. Whats on the tapes, no one will ever know.

haha what's on the tapes no1 will ever know. LOL. u know what no1 will really never know? how many other teams bellicheat cheated on. how many other signals he stole. because those were all destroyed to keep the NFL safe from integrity issues. because remember the office of president is more important than any one man. and bellicheat must be insulated for the sake of the NFL.

I imagine some other ppl cheated to some varying degree over some period of time in some manner. but thats a pretty obtuse way to try and dillute blame from bellicheat.

we know bellicheat was caught cheating, we know he delayed days in even delivering the tapes - probably destroying all he thought he could. and we know he sent the rest to the commissioner, and we know the commissioner destroyed them w/o much further comment.

and what do we know about the jets? that w/ the other teams permission they put a camera in the endzone? I'm less than impressed.

I dont want to dillute blame from BB, he cheated and punished accordingly. I just hate hypocricy!!! Its like people pointing out the Steelers dynasty was steroid induced, without factoring in that a huge percentage of the league was on roids.

Not abusing it, just dont know how to spell it. Its 100% valid.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I will debate many football related discussions, thats one reason why we are all here.

As more info comes on this topic, I will again LMAO at BB and Mangini acting like little kids. Before this news, BB was the cheater and Mangini was the little brother ratting him out to their parents (NFL). Now, Mangini is also a self admitted cheater. I guess High School drama is not always relegated to High School.

so getting permission from teams to film from the endzone is the same as secretly taping their defensive signals from across the field? ok whatever you say.

Am I missing something, or has the article changed since you originally posted it?

To summarize. Mangini says they requested permission to tape, were given permission, then had their guy removed from the stadium. He says they ask permission everywhere they go, and are usually given it. If they're not given it, they don't tape.

It says NFL rules prohibit taping from the sideline, but that this taping occurred from the end zones.

Unless the article changed since you posted the link, it seems as if it's you that is blind to reality. This is a perfect example of, "Nothing to see here. Please move along." Whereas, in the Patriots' case, they were docked an 1st round pick - completely unprecedented. That hardly seems comparable.

But what do I know. I admit I do have blind hatred for the Patriots (everything Boston, really).

Come on yavoon, use your brain and dont be a sheep. If the Pats gave Mangini permission to film them, during a playoff game, why would they then remove the camera man? If it was to set the Jets up, why wouldnt they report it to the NFL?

Secretly taping??? Mangini knew exactly what was being taped. No secret there. And no secret that BB is so smug that he cheated on Mangini and KNEW that Mangini knew what he was doing.

The rule does not single out the sidelines, it singles out having a camera on the field, the coaches booth, the locker room, and any other area accessed by team personal. If teams chose to ignore the rule, by giving each other permission to break the letter of the rule, then I guess thats up to them.

Lets leave other teams out of this. Mangini brought them into it in defending himself, as this proves he truely is a POS Bottom line (we all know BB POS), Mangini is a RAT and a self admitted cheater, as he did not follow the letter of the rule. Burn him. Burn all people who throw others under the bus that are guilty of the same thing.

A league rule prohibits teams from using a video camera on the sidelines for any purpose. In the Jets' case, they were filming from the end zone. The Jets film from both end zones during practice, a common procedure used by NFL teams.

NFL: Jets' actions legal
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff December 12, 2007 04:51 PM

The Jets' video procedures in which they request permission to shoot games from both end zones does not violate league rules, the NFL said today.

"It is not uncommon for visiting team video crews to request permission to shoot coaching video from both upper end zone positions," spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in an email. "Home clubs must provide visiting clubs with equal vantage points for the taping of games. Teams typically shoot coaching video from one upper 50-yard line location and one upper end zone location, but there are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams. No permission is needed from the league office."

Thats twice this year the NFL has quickly squashed "incidents", without one ounce of investigation. Colts enhanced crowed noise and the Jets filming during the playoffs. It is true, all multi billion $ businesses are adept at picking their battles.

The NFL should punish the Patriots again. The Pats kicked out a Jets camera man that had every right to be there. The Pats must have gave him permission to be on the field and mezina without covering the camera on all sides. They should be punished for kicking the guy out and punished again for giving the Jets permission to ignore "black and white" rules in regards to filming for coaching purposes.

They should strip the Pats from their SF pick and send it to the Broncos.

This guy isnt in the endzone. Not for the Pats, Vikings, or Eagles game. And the rule says the field, nothing about the sideline.

What article are you reading? Feel free to continue loving every inch of Tom Brady. Getting permission to tape form endzones for game tape and having a guy sneak over to the other sidelines and tape coaches are pretty different.

"Mangini maintained the Jets did nothing wrong and had filmed at New England during the regular season without incident. " sounds like an admission of guilt. ???
