I was wondering if they had a 2006 draft redo would the broncos have 3 guys in the top 15? Would Reggie Bush, Vince Young and Matt Leinart fall out of the top 15? Would Cutler go 1 or 3?

not quite as updated.
For starters, Mario Williams would still be a top 5 selection.
He is playing like an animal now.
Reggie Bush has proven his is a utility player and nothing more...
He will be a journeymen kick returner once his contract runs up.
Reggie has been a huge dissapointment...
3.8 yards per carry and your the #2 pick in the draft?
What a ****ng joke.

It was a joke from the get go. I am no expert, but it was plain to me what kind of player he would be in the NFL.

The texas game should what Reggie could do in the nfl, they shut him down with their speed. After that game I knew he wouldnt be an every down back in the nfl. Shanny kept saying he was the best ever, so the draft would fall the way he wanted with him getting Cutler.

If Reggie bush becomes a free agent ... SIGN HIM.
Kick returner, punt returner, third down back, legitimate recieving threat... C'mon guys thats a little more than "utility player". Thats the resume of a legitimate pro with a long career ahead of him.

So...basically Reggie Bush is the really expensive version of Dave Meggett?

I really don't see how he's better that Meggett or Metcalf at this point.

An updated one could certainly have Marshall in the first round as well. I <3 our 2006 draft.

Nope... This guy would be an excellent weapon on our offense and special teams.

I agree, but it was a joke how much people were hyping him. In the right team he can be good, but he cannot transform a team. I still remember some folk asking to trade the whole draft for him. It was like listening to a bunch of 12 year olds play GM

I agree with that... He was overhyped. Not quite as much as Mike Williams, but definately overhyped.

he's better off as a reciever. Too small for running back

Dumervil went #24 to the Bengals in the redo draft. Nice!

Crazy keeping track of mood swings. During 2006 draft Bush was Gale Sayers, Texans made a mistake, Lienart was the most NFL ready. During the season Young was the most effective of the 3 qb's, and the Texans mistake seemed much worse. Now Bush is considered worthless, Texans are geniuses, and Young is back to being a project. Bush is nowhere near as good as hyped before, but he is not as bad as the disappointed fans have him either. On the critics side though, he is getting way too much money.

I will stand by statement of him before the draft - a faster Eric Metcalf or taller Glyn Milburn

Bush deserved a lot of attention. He won a Heisman, his team hardly ever lost a game in his career and he averaged 8.9 yards a carry. His struggles in the pros are not about his physical tools.
Now, the Mike Williams hype was just plain stupid because the guy wasn't even in decent physical condition as a 20 year old.

Sorry, Dave. For Reggie Bush it's either superstar or suck. No middle ground allowed with this athlete.

This draft certainly will go down as one of the greats of all times. Marshall in the first round... no doubt.

There needs to be some love for my guy Antonio Cromartie. Five starts and NINE picks this year?
Also, I think Lawrence Maroney is approaching bust status. Not only is he injury prone, but he's also the only player in that Patsy offense underperforming. He didn't belong in the first round. Sammy Morris did much better when he was in.

I remember reading it somewhere but Shanny believes Maroney would have become an animal in Denver.
I believe he was going to take him at 21 if Cutler had already been taken

You've got to be wrong - When Shanahan over rules all of his scouts and GM, he is the only coach in the league that has ever made a mistake in the draft. Don't you pay any attention to what the experts here say?

Chad Jackson. Brandon Merriweather isn't looking so hot, either.

Logic proves you shouldn't buy into the ESPN hype machines. Something about a once in a lifetime or once in a decade player coming out of college every single year makes you wonder how that could possibly be.

1-17-07 is too old for a redraft. It doesnt take into consideration anything that has happened this year.

Does anyone doubt if the draft was redone Brandon Marshall wouldn't be a top 10 pick?

If Mike Williams was a high draft pick, B Marsh should be reconsidered a top 10 pick
