Do they even announce the no shows anymore? There used to be a roaring boo / hiss coming from the stands when they were announced at the old unforgettable Mile High.

Not from where I was sitting. Saw lots and lots of empty seats up high. I was down low, and there where very very few empty seats around me.

Let me put it this way. I sat in the 6 row on the 50 behind the Bronco Bench...stood up the entire game an no one asked me to sit down. It was a glorious day.

Well...when you're as short as you are, that shouldn't be much of a problem anyways :poke: Ha!

I looked around at kickoff and I was absolutely shocked. Nobody was there. Fortunately, it was the more hardcore fans that were there, so it was still plenty loud and no one was obnoxious around me. And by obnoxious, I mean entitled and impassionate.

Buy em? I GAVE away a pair. It was to the DJ at Mecks tailgate so he could enjoy the game, but there were ALOT of people trying to sell tickets unsuccessfully.

it was my sisters b-day and since we only have the two tickets, we got them in the hands of other broncos fans and watched from home so we could all be together.
weird to see home games on television, but i must say, the sound level was very impressive.
the "in-com-plete" cheer was crystal clear and many times the noise level and crowd enthusiasm was impressive considering the cold.

as for the 7k no shows, thats atrocious.
reminds me of that bears game a few years back where the temp was 15* at kickoff.
we had over TEN thousand that day.
still, we're by and large filling up the stadium, making noise, and wearing more orange than ever before in this stadium.
we just have to keep it up. ^5

Anybody else notice how easy it is to sneak booze in?

At a game last year my buddy had a couple beers stuffed in the pocket of his hoodie, the security dude actually grabbed them with his hand, and still let him in with them!!! Ever since then we always sneak in at least 2 beers each, usually more and a flask

Nothin' like the old stadium. I used to bring my Gallon Jug of Hot Buttered Rum through the gate. They'd ask: Whatcha got in thew jug? and I'd answer Hot chocolate, and with a wink I was through "security".

Yeah, we did flasks for the AFC Championship game... We needed them too. :(

This time of year it's especially easy to bring stuff in.... hell - you could damn near do a 12 pack in your legs with snow pants on and they would have no idea.

A friend of mine routinely has gotten in with a beer can in hand as he goes thru security. So - I've been trying that too and last 3 games I've walked right and and finished my beer inside. So, so much for security.

Yeah I didn't even get patted down, just unzipped my jacket and he let me through. It was easy for anyone sneaking in some booze.

lol but she will tell you all how if she had tickets, she would have been on the 50 yard line cheering on her team as others arent real fans for leaving early/not showing up. I hear she is going to the Minnesota game though.

I'm with you Garcia. It was a glorious day. I was a couple sections over from you and had a blast. The reality is we were better off not having those 7512 now shows. They would have been irrelevant to the 12th man anyway. If they aren't motivated enough to show they certainly would be worth a darn at the stadium.

I don't know about you guys but it took me about 20 minutes to even get to the security officer "checking bags". I'm not sure what they are even looking for as all they were doing was patting backpacks down. If they are supposed to be looking for EXPLOSIVES you would think they would at least open the bags. It's a joke and I told them so.

Why waste our game day experience time for security that is just for show to begin with?

Well anyway what a great day sunday was. Chiefs suck..

Word. Fk the kwiefs. Meck you gonna be at the vikes game? I am. And I'm pumped for it.

Also I hope the silver lining to this season is that the fair-weathers get the f off the season ticket list, so I can move up.

I live in Denver now Dog. No way would I miss a home game now. I'm going to try and line up some live music for the Vikes game. Anyone know of a good band willing to rip it up in LOT MH?

I know of a classic rock band that might be interested. They have a nice thick sound, and have their own PA. What are you thinking exactly?

That's what I'm thinking. A good band who can rile up the tailgaters and pump people up going to the game is what I'm after!

Start time around 11:00-1:45 would be ideal! Let me know. We can offer them beer, food, and maybe some donations if people want to chip in a few bucks.

If tix demand is anything close to the chiefs game we could probably find them tix for next to nothing if they wanted to go to the game.

Still going to be there bro, however, I have since quit drinking (PM me and I will give details), but will still be there to be the rowdy pallet thrower.

By any chance did that have to do with the post I saw on NPN where you were on beer 20? That can slow you down just thinking of the aftermath. Now I know who will be the designated driver come one of our "Padre Murphy" style parties.

well it was something like that, just did a lot of soul searching lately and came to that decision. And yes, if you were there for the 30th game I could be the DD.
