From Pro Football Weekly's "Whispers" section:

"Keep an eye on two recent free-agent pickups by the Giants: WR Domenik Hixon, who has impressed the coaching staff with his size (6-3, 205 pounds) and hands; and LB Tank Daniels, the ex-Eagle who should be able to pick up former Eagles defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme quickly and potentially make an impact."

I was pissed when we drafted him -- I'm gonna be double-super-ultra-pissed if he ends up being a solid player for the Giants!

I saw him on a reverse last week, so he's playing a little. He got tackled in the backfield though.

You was "pissed" when Denver spent a 4th round pick on him? Get a life.

I never realized he was 6'3'' and 205. I thought he looked small, weak, timid, etc

I thought we pulled the plug on him a little early though all things considered. Hey, 500 posts after just 4 years. Yeah!!!

Come on guys....be excellent to each other.

I had a teacher in high school who had that as a classroom rule...a la..."students must be excellent to each other".

What a dizzy broad.

Back to subject on hand. I think people forget that Broncos wanted to keep Hixon, they just unable sneak him onto the practice squad.

Yeah buddy that sure was an ownage. He pointed out his post count! Boy Howdy did he show him. I mean come on how often does one recover from someone pointing out his post count. Thats just one of those rare comebacks you only see every two or three days. Epic come back, EPIC!

IMO Hixon was a scapegoat for the special teams @ the beginning of the season when they were missing blocks and he was getting tackled immediately, but I've always felt it was not Hixon's fault his blocking was missing assignments and out of position and they cut Hixon w/ hopes of re-signing him to the practice squad and then the Gmen pissed on that... and I'm pretty sure the coaching staff hates that they let him go but oh well cut your losses and move on... hopefully hixon doesn't come back to haunt us in a game

I wouldn't say Hixon was scape goat for the special teams. He had opportunities but I think his mind was getting in the way of his instinct. A few of us commented on how it looked like he was running with cement shoes. He is a burner but he didn't show. That tells me he was reading too much into the developing play rather than seeing his first good option and just going.
