Obviously, some of these names wont make it because of their high draft status but you never know. Something to ponder.

Some Draft prospects at LB.

Xavier Adibi, Virginia Tech
Height: 6-2. Weight: 226.
40 Time: 4.57.
Projected Round: 1-2.
Xavier Adibi has registered three sacks each of the previous two seasons.

Erin Henderson*, Maryland
Height: 6-3. Weight: 233.
40 Time: 4.58.
Projected Round: 1-2.
A major reason Maryland made a late run to close the 2006 season. Registered 18 tackles in a crucial game against Clemson. Has tremendous speed for his size.

Prospects at RB

Kevin Smith*, Central Florida (12/1)
Height: 6-1. Weight: 211.
40 Time: 4.47.
Projected Round: Top 20 Pick.
Talk about literally carrying a team - through the beginning of November, Kevin Smith has 1,448 rushing yards, 17 receptions and 19 total touchdowns. His 40 time is solid considering his size. Don't look at his weak conference either; Smith gashed Texas for 149 yards and two scores on 27 carries.

Felix Jones*, Arkansas
Height: 6-0. Weight: 200.
40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round: Top 20 Pick.
The team that drafts Felix Jones will be getting an excellent running back and kick returner. Gained an amazing 7.6 yards per carry in 2006. Jones should wait until Darren McFadden's gone and he's the sole ball-carrier to enter the NFL Draft, even though he had a higher yards-per-carry average than his teammate.

Tashard Choice, Georgia Tech
Height: 6-1. Weight: 205.
40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round: 2.
Tashard Choice looked great against Notre Dame, compiling 196 yards and two touchdowns on just 26 carries. Choice's size-40 combination is better than Mike Hart's and Ray Rice's.

Lance Ball, Maryland
Height: 5-9. Weight: 225.
40 Time: 4.42.
Projected Round: 6.
Certainly has the size and speed to make it in the NFL, assuming he can match the 40 time I have. Ball, who splits carries with Keon Lattimore, led the team in rushing with 815 yards and 8 TDs in 2006.

Prospects at WR

Eddie Royal, Virginia Tech
Height: 5-10. Weight: 184.
40 Time: 4.38.
Projected Round: 3-4.
A return specialist, as you should be able to tell by his exceptional 40. Never had more than 31 receptions in a single season, but could that just be a product of the woeful offense he plays in?

Greg Carr*, Florida State
Height: 6-6. Weight: 205.
40 Time: 4.49.
Projected Round: 4.
Greg Carr caught 12 touchdowns but only 34 receptions in 2006. A nice end-zone target at 6-6.

Maurice Purify, Nebraska (9/29)
Height: 6-4. Weight: 210.
40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round: 5.
Maurice Purify may have redeemed himself a bit, catching seven passes for 80 yards against USC.
There's no question that Maurice Purify's talented - he had 34 receptions for 630 yards and seven touchdowns last year - but he's had too many legal incidents the past year for my liking.

Prospects at FS

Jamie Silva, SS, Boston College
Height: 5-11. Weight: 208.
40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round: 7.
A hard-hitter who picked off four passes in 2006 despite missing some time with a knee injury.

Prospects at CB

Brandon Flowers*, Virginia Tech
Height: 5-10. Weight: 190.
40 Time: 4.42.
Projected Round: 2.
Labeled as Virginia Tech's next star NFL-bound corner, following in the footsteps of DeAngelo Hall and Jimmy Williams. Brandon Flowers notched 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in 2006, earning a spot for himself on the All-ACC First Team.

Terrence Wheatley, Colorado
Height: 5-10. Weight: 170.
40 Time: 4.39.
Projected Round: 2-3.
Terrence Wheatley picked off three passes against Texas Tech.
Started all 12 games last year. Went through wrist surgery this winter.

Prospects at DE

Chris Long, Virginia
Height: 6-4. Weight: 284.
40 Time: 4.78.
Projected Round: Top 5 Pick.
Chris Long, who can play end in the 4-3 and possibly nose guard in the 3-4, had 57 tackles and five sacks in 2006. Son of former NFL star and current FOX analyst Howie Long.

Prospects at DT

Glenn Dorsey, LSU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 299.
40 Time: 5.12.
Projected Round: Top 5 Pick.
Glenn Dorsey has established himself as the premier defender in college football, capable of dominating the line of scrimmage every single week. He'll be one of the first three players taken in the 2008 NFL Draft. A strong, quick defensive tackle that can play in just about every scheme. Glenn Dorsey would have been a top-10 pick in the 2007 Draft.

Dre Moore, Maryland (9/14)
Height: 6-4. Weight: 298.
40 Time: 4.82.
Projected Round: 2.
Dre Moore played out of his mind against West Virginia. Steve Slaton simply couldn't run in Moore's direction, as the senior defensive tackle was in the Mountaineers' backfield the majority of the plays. He really improved his draft stock.
That 4.82 is not a misprint. Moore, who excels at stopping the run and getting to the quarterback, is a workout warrior. He'll bench 225 pounds at least 30 times. He has also notched a 34-inch vertical in the past. An expected, excellent combine may get Moore into the first round.

Anyway, those are some names that Denver should look out for.

Nice list. I would eliminate Purify. Broncs need a speed receiver who can return punts. Also don't need another locker room disruption.

At this point I don't see any of your DL falling to the Broncos or being in their plans.

I would add about ten OTs and a few more LBs and DL to your list.

Yea, the D-line is less likely and maybe your right on Purify. If so, than Royal from VaTech would be a good option. He is fast and very good on Special Teams.

I thinking the Broncos load up at Linebacker this draft with Laurinatis in the first and Henderson in the second. The Broncos then look at dt in free agency. I also wouldn't mind getting a offensive Tackle . The Broncos use its 2009 first rounder for early second and get Okam or Moore. My Broncos draft 1 Laurinatis 2a Traded 2009 first rounder,Okam 2b Erin Henderson 3a Foxworth trade ,Tony Hills. The Broncos add Corry williams in free agency.

If Xaiver A. wasn't 24 years old, he'd be a nice option.

Also, I guarantee Henderson (who still has another year of eligibility) will be a top twenty selection if he comes out.

Heres a guy that i think would really help DEN.

Terrell Thomas, USC CB/FS/STs
Height: 6-1. Weight: 200.
40 Time: 4.40.
Projected Round: 2.
A jack of all trades, Terrell Thomas can play corner, safety and return specialist. He also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in 2006. The leader of USC's locker room.
Put him at FS, and let him return kicks. Something DEN is in desperate need of. Kill two issues with one player.

Also, i would really love for DEN to draft his partner in crime at USC as well!

Kevin Ellison*, SS, USC
Height: 6-1. Weight: 220.
40 Time: 4.57.
Projected Round: 2-3.
A big safety who started every game for USC in 2006 and recorded 64 tackles in the process.
Guy is a intimidator, and can drop the hammer!

Ezra Butler, Nevada
Height: 6-2. Weight: 248.
40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round: 1-2.
Ezra Butler, who runs an incredible 40 for his size, accumulated seven sacks in 2006. He had 5.5 in 2005.
Guy is fast as hell!!
or
Beau Bell, UNLV
Height: 6-3. Weight: 245.
40 Time: 4.73.
Projected Round: 3.
Led UNLV in tackles before missing a good portion of the 2006 season with an ankle injury. Can play outside and inside.

ALso, i think this guy is going to be a great player! He really young too!

DeMarcus Granger*, Oklahoma (11/17)
Height: 6-3. Weight: 300.
40 Time: 4.98.
Projected Round: Top 15 Pick.
DeMarcus Granger is following up his brilliant freshman season with an even better sophomore year. He may declare two seasons early.

Granger, a red-shirt sophomore, doesn't have to declare himself until 2010. However, the Sooner defensive tackle had an outstanding freshman campaign and was a far cry from the guy who came into Oklahoma weighing more than 350 pounds.

Heres a sleeper who might not go in the high rounds.
Chris Horton, SS, UCLA
Height: 6-1. Weight: 209.
40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round: 7.
Recorded three picks in 2006, earning a spot on the All-Pac 10 Second Team. His 40 time hurts his draft stock.

This guy is known as the best open field tackler in college football! He is always around the ball. And ive seen 1st hand his tackling skills. He's good.

If all of the Juniors declare that folk here think, Broncs will be able to get Conner in the 4th round.

Greetings fellow Orangemane Fans. I've been away for awhile, and I'm glad to finally get sometime to partake in discussions for next year's draft. Anyway, I thought I'd share a possible sleeper at RB who will be available in the 2008 draft.

I think with our first and second pick, Denver needs to go LB then DT. After that, we draft the best players available. I especially would like to see Denver Draft in the 3rd or 4th round Alley Broussard, RB from Missouri Southern State University (I believe).

Broussard has size, strength, speed, and moves! He's 6'1-235, won't go down with arm tackles and has the speed and cut back ability to excell in a zone blocking-one read-one cut running scheme. Broussards has the speed and strength to get the 2nd and 3rd levels in a hurry, with our WR's blocking down field, Broussards can take it to the house especially from 50 yards out or closer.

Don't get me wrong, I like Henry, Young and Hall....but they do not bring to the table the entangibles Broussards brings!!!!!

A game breaking RB like Broussard to match Cutler's laser arm and Jay entering into his 2nd full season as starter, automatically makes Denver's offense a force! Opposing Teams Def. line and blitz packages will no longer be able to pin their ears back a rush Cutler with reckless abandon.

For those of you fans still in doubt about Cutlers development and promise.....get a Jay a game breaking impact RB like Broussard and watch his potential and capability fly off the chart!!!

Denver can provide Broussard with a lead blocking FB, and with his size, strength and speed, the Broncos will be able to convert 3rd downs, score running plays inside the 5 while in the Red Zone, as well as sustain drives in the 4th qtr to put teams away once Denver gets the lead!!!

I think the 4th round could be Denvers magic number in terms of selecting talented players. In 2006 in the 4th round Denver selected Brandon Marshall, then in 2007 in the 4th Denver selects Marcus Thomas; lets select Brousard in the 4th (if he's still available) in 2008 and keep the fourth round trend going!! But then again, Broussards maybe long gone by the 4th round when Denver picks!

I just hope Broussard doesn't blow teams away with his pre-draft try outs/workouts and his stock raises to 1st or 2nd round selection and the Steelers or Patriots or Cleveland takes this guy before we have a chance.

Cason - especial if we lose one of the young CB.
