new years at 12:01 am i will be lighting a blue or orange candle as soon as i have a new years kiss , and yell or 2 of happy new years , i shall remember this kid we used to have , who wore 27 ... and over achieved, brought it all every game ... and was taken from the world for no good reason...
maybe some of you will do the same ... i hope to for many years to come ...

As much as I agree with the sentiment, I thought something had happened to Steve Atwater when I read the thread title. Darrent was a gamer and will always be missed, but Atwater will always be #27 to me.

I'll be rooting for #89 on Texas Tech, Brandon Williams, in Tech's bowl game. He is D-Wills cousin and plays hard for the Williams name and family. I had him and many other Williams' cousins as students in Ft Worth.

This kid was such a fighter on the field that video chokes me up almost , the end of the season always reminds me of that year and how fast things can change in a blink of a eye.
