Shanahan staying positive on RB's

Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan has the amazing ability to turn nobodies into successful running backs. This week, he might be put to the ultimate test.


Travis Henry, who's been out with a knee injury and doesn't appear to be ready to play, should hear from the NFL by Tuesday whether he will be suspended for the year. Selvin Young has a knee injury and Shanahan won't know until Wednesday whether Young will be able to practice. Third-stringer Andre Hall has a high ankle sprain.


Despite all that, Shanahan doesn't appear to be panicked. He figures Young or Hall will be available. Plus, he's still optimistic Henry will be able to beat the suspension.

I agree. I thought he would have been cut by now. Just seemed funny that when running down how dinged up the backs are that a back on the roster get no mention.

If that is the case, very few player's will be playing(Need to fire ST and Defensive player's).

Ahhh, yeah. He was switched to FB, the inactive for most of the games. I would call that being in the doghouse.

Hall looked like a freakin' stud. He ran fast, hard, outside, inside, caught the ball, picked up his blocks...he was the highlight of the game for me. Really mad that he is hurt, hope that he heals quick and comes back.

I like Young, but he doesn't have that every down look to him that Hall has. Of course, would be nice to get a health Henry back...

if all 3 guys are hurting(Henry, Young, Hall) i think we are going to end up seeing a pass happy offense with Sapp at tailback and Kyle Johnson returning to his starting role as fullback. and i think Mike Bell is gone next season and done for the year.

Mike Bell must of done more than just fumble the last game to be in the dog house, or an accumulation of not playing to the level needed for a RB. How many fumbles did taters have and Shanahan kept feeding him the rock. Well I wasnt thrilled with either Bell anyways, but I am with Hall. Young doesnt look half bad either when healthy. I think they compliment each other well if Shanahan runs rbbc between the two we will be all right.

yup, i think he is the backup plan. I would have no problem watching Cecil jam the ball down the raider's throats all afternoon.
