Mizzu gets in the endzone first. 7-0 Tigers. Just looking at the body language so far the Kansas defense looks scared.

14-0 Mizzou...the big 12 is so weak.
That Safety Stuckey just brought the wood.
Impressive head, seperated the WR from the ball.
Mizzou is rolling right now. Chase Daniels is a very good QB. KU needs to settle down. This is where their soft schedule is going to come into play. I agree, the atmosphere is electric in Arrowhead right now.

Crazy year. The Hokies could have a chance at the Title game. As GB said, 14-0 Tigers early.
14-0 Mizzou...the big 12 is so week.
This coming from an ACC fan. Whatever happened to the super power it was supposed to be?
I would probably take the top three teams in the Big 12 over the ACC Champion.
Including VATech, if they can manage to beat BC this time.

We'll assume that each seed will play each other.
I'm still not sure OU will not win the Big 12. TO me, they still are #1.
OU vs. VaTech - I like OU in a matchup of great defenses. I pick the Sooners because of their weapons on offense.
Missouri vs. BC - I like Missouri in a matchup of great QB's.
Kansas vs. UVA - KU, I like what UVA has done but they do it against teams that can't score. KU can... in bunches.
Texas vs. Clemson - Clemson, both are loaded with talent but I think the Tigers would play better... at least recently.
Texas Tech vs. WF - Texas Tech, and its not even close.
T A&M vs. FSU - FSU all the way.
OSU vs. GTech - GTech is a better team.
CU vs. Maryland - CU, I just think Maryland would be a solid pairing for the Buffs.
KState vs. UNC - KState isn't playing very well but they are a much better team than Eastern Carolina and Duke.
Nebraska vs. NCState - Nebraska actually had some of WF early in the season and beat them in their own house. NCState would be no different.
ISU vs. Miami - ISU was playing much better at the end of the year. Between common opponents, OU, ISU lost 17-7, Miami lost 51-13.
Baylor vs. Duke - Both teams are terrible. I'll give Duke the nod here.
Big 12 wins head to head, 8 games to 4.
KU doing everything they can to lose this game.
They've drove into Missouri territory three times, had 1 INT on the 2 yd line and missed two field goals.

The ACC has consistently tougher teams and defenses...a mid-tier conference as of late with Miami and FSU slumping. The Big 12 isn't as tough as the SEC, and is probably on par with the WAC, which is why the Big 12's best team got beat by Boise State last season. :)

Boise would have beat anybody in the ACC last year as well. They had a great team.
Let's be honest though... the ACC is several lengths behind the big 12 and its renewed depth.
Didn't Wake win the league last year? Didn't they lose to one of our worst teams this year at their house? Not a lot to go off of on the field besides that game... a 5-7 below average Nebraska team at Wake who was 8-4 this season with the Cornhuskers taking it.
Anubis, what do you think of Branden Albert, your Left Guard from UVA? I just saw a clip of him demolishing some Hokie in the endzone on a pull play... I think it was Adibi. He just flat out crushed the guy. I love that kind of stuff.

Win/Loss records of their opponents for top 5 teams from each conference.
ACC: 305-333 28 game margin.
Big 12: 326-367 41 game margin.
I wouldnt really say that the Big 12 is that much more dominant than the ACC.
Non-Conference Wins:
Northwestern - Duke
Texas A&M - Miami
Pittsburgh - UVA
UConn - UVA
Rutgers - Maryland
CU - FSU
Alabama - FSU
Vandy - Wake
Clemson is up on South Carolina right now.
Losses:
OU - Miami
ECU - UNC
USF - UNC
UGA - GTech
Wyoming - UVA
LSU - VTech
Central Florida - NCST
Louisville - NCST
WVA - Maryland
UF - FSU
Nebraska - Wake
You know what really rocks the credibility of the ACC? Wyoming beating UVA who had a chance to play for the league championship... they finished at 5-7 in a very bad MWC along with Nebraska beating 8-4 WF. Both of those two teams were terrible in every sense of the word this year yet they still managed to beat up on two of your better schools.

Louisville did. What is the difference here?
I can't say outside of the ACC what conference has been more disappointing as a whole. Either there is great competition or the quality of teams in there are just painfully bad.
The big 12 as a whole hasn't been much better before this year. Its basically been UT and OU for the championship with the winner kicking around a overmatched team from the North. Things look like they are changing though... the level of competition between all the major conferences are evening out. I think the turn has a lot to do with Miami and FSU crashing back down to earth.
If I had to take a stab at the conference ranking...
1. SEC
2. Big 12
3. Pac 10 - When completely healthy probably push at #2 this season.
4. ACC
5. Big East
6. Big 10
7. C-USA
8. WAC
9. MWC
10. Mac and Sun-Belt equally suck this season.

Conference USA is not better than the WAC. The WAC actually has the best stable of coaches in the country, bar none.

They have some good coaches, no doubt.
With that said, it would be very interesting to see Houston and Hawaii line up against each other along with UCF vs. Boise State. I think you might be surprised who comes out on top in these matchups.
I think WAC has good/solid teams in UH, BSU, and Fresno. After that they have some of the worst collection of teams in their conference between Idaho, NMSU, and Utah State. Take it to the next level with Nevada, San Jose State, LaTech. All teams very average.
The WAC lost almost all major out of conference games... BSU lost to Washington... watch out for UH/Washington next week, I've been part of a good UH team that lost to a poor Pac 10 team back in 99'. Fresno recently picked up a solid win vs. Kansas State. That's been about it. Across the board C-USA has better depth and slightly better wins against quality opponents.

I didn't notice till I just looked online, but Illinois lost to Missouri earlier in the year in a game that Illinois lost their starting quarterback in the second quarter. They still outgained Missouri and actually had a chance to win, but threw an interception when they were on the one yard line of Missouri. Also Illinois fumbled another time on Missouri's one yard line the lead a 100 yard fumble return for a TD. They had 5 total turnovers in that game. I think that 2 teams in the Big Ten are better than any team in the big 12, but top to bottom that conference is better. Rankings are just my 2 cents.
