View Full Version : Why does KU opting to have their home game at Arrowhead not get more attention?

Seriously, this could potentially cost them the game against Missouri and they did it to make more money? So this greed might actually cost them a lot more than theyll make from this game due to the fact that Missouri and Oklahoma will be first in line when it comes to playing in better paying bowl games.

Does this not get more attention because stuff like this is so normal now?

I'm not sure if it was just for 07 and 08, but the Border War game is in KC both years.

Each team gave up a home game.

I would imagine both teams fans will travel well for this. Its not unlike OU vs UT where its played in Dallas TX but both teams have equal representation.

I do agree the teams will travel well...

But there are a **** ton of MU\KU fans that reside in Columbia. With this game? You could easily fill the stadium with rabid fans if nobody from Lawrence or Columbia made it out.

Yeah, Im kind of thinking that KU would have won if the game was played in Lawrence. Good job, Lamar Hunt.

Lamar Hunt has passed away.

If you do actually want to thank him though thank him for the Broncos. Without him? There wouldn't be Denver Broncos.

The game being at Arrowhead had nothing to do with KU losing. It had everything to do with Missouri being the better team on that day. The fact that they had won every game up to Saturday proves that they were capable of winning away from home...

KU and MU both agreed to it. Get mad at KU's AD before anyone else.

You are just mad because you guys got exposed by a better team.

Had the chance and it slipped away....

Hilarious!

Your theory makes absolutely no sense. I don't have the figures, but I believe the crowd was pretty evenly split. This wasn't a "hostile" crowd environment. Secondly, I have the entire season as evidence that KU could win away from home this year. Missouri was just the better team Saturday. All you have is the ASSUMPTION that KU would have won if the game were in Lawrence.
