yah I shouldn't watch ppl throw out ridiculously uninteresting cliche's about football. but sean like really hates john clayton. I mean really hates him. especially annoying to me considering salsibury is the king of idiotic cliche banter.

who the heck cares what either of these guys think anyways? how did sean's career go with Minesotta go anyways? just because you were a failed NFL player, does not give you the right to make completely erroneous claims such as Northcut being better than Rod, what is he going to say next, that he invented the internet?

It is. I've heard Sean talk about it and he said it's just an act. They are good friends.
Well I see you have created yet another wildly successful thread yavoon.

Didn't Clayton just get inducted into the pro football HOF? Steak boy is just pissed, and yes, he is a Chargers knob swabber, and is probably a little hacked off.

Yes he has every right to give his opinion. Should we not listen to guys like Vin Skully because he didnt play baseball? Personally, I like John Clayton and not sure what Sean's beef is with him.

Sean is about as qualified to utter rubbish on espn as the salsbury steak that is served at our dfac deserves to be eaten. He is horrible, sure he has a right to have an opinion and so do I and so does every mullet fan, but does that get us on ESPN, hell no. He had a crappy career got ragged on and this is his chance to stick it to the man.

Seriously I just don't listen to Salisburry steak. I mean the man cut a x-mas tree into the back of his head when he was with the Vikings. What more can you say:thanku:

Clayton and Salisbury were at it again on the radio this morning. Salisbury said Peyton wouldn't even make his Pro Bowl team this year.
He went:
Brady
Big Ben
Derek Anderson
Clayton flipped out and went into Manning apologist mode. It was good entertainment on the ride home from work. It's probably just shtick, but it works.

Ya mom i threw another INT
Sean Salisbury played five NFL seasons, with the Colts, Vikings and Chargers. He finished his career completing 318 of 577 passes (55.1 percent), for 3,824 yards, with 19 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
Salisbury is now an analyst for ESPN, and this morning on ESPN Radio they read an e-mail from a listener who wrote in saying he'd like to give Salisbury a holiday gift of one more career touchdown pass, so he'd be able to say he finished his career with more touchdowns than interceptions.
It was just a joke from a listener, and not a particularly funny one, but Salisbury acted awfully defensive about it, repeating, "I could care less" about his career statistics. And I think that fairly well sums up Salisbury's biggest failing as an analyst: He seems to have something of a hangup about the fact that he wasn't very good in the NFL.
Ron Jaworski, Cris Collinsworth and Tom Jackson were not great players, but they're great TV analysts in part because they don't seem to have that hangup. I think Salisbury needs to stop saying he doesn't care and actually get to the point where he really doesn't care.

And yes i saw that too lol
I think Tom Jackson was a great player.

10 year NFL starter Ron Jaworski and three time Pro Bowler Cris Collinsworth were pretty damn good, too.
Is this fool actually mentioning Sean Salisbury in the same breath as former star players like TJ, Jaws and Collinsworth?

Tom Jackson played for Denver and according to the media Elway is the only great player from Denver and no one else.

The guy was correct that Salisbum still has a chip on his shoulder for sucking as a player, but to compare him to guys who were generally among the top ten players on their respective teams for throughout their careers is just hilarious.
Doesn't Todd Blckledge work for ESPN? There's your player with a similar career. I don't think you can even compare Salisbury with a guy the level of Merrill HGHoge.

In one of the more embarrassing moments of the Fatso Phillips-Charlie Waters debacle years, Sean Salisbury ripped the **** out of us in a snow game victory at Mile High in 1993.
Ugh.
Milburn killed us with a fumble on a Punt Return, but Salisbury played very well.
Only Charlie Waters could've been at the controls of such a suck ass Defense, to let Salisbury destroy us.
