View Full Version : Cutler implementing the hard count into his game...

I don't know if anyone noticed, but throughout the game especially in the beginning, Cutler was using some hard counts.

Not as good as Jake Plummer's but I'm sure this is something that can be learned.

I read a couple posts earlier last week about Cutler not having much time because of the opposing dline being able to read his snap count and jumping on the dot...

I wonder if the coaching staff saw this?

Anyways, great stuff!

Rep for reminding me! I saw that too! I was getting tired of seeing the D-line predicting the snap count every play. Good for him...and our offense! :)

Hmm... Shades of Buerline? Maybe we need to get that guy back to show
Jay how its done.

Yea, I noticed. Good analysis Kaylore. This is the main reason I'm here on the mane, great breakdowns by people who actually know football...

Elway had that crazy shriek that he did better than anyone.

Main thing that I noticed about Cutler's technique on Monday night was the pace ... very short huddles and not much time at the LOS prior to the snap.

It wasn't exactly a "no-huddle" offense, but Denver kept the offenseive pace very rapid and didn't give the Titans a whole lot of time to catch their breath, to make their reads, or to move players in and out. Maybe Jay has been doing that for awhile, but it really stood out to me on Monday.

Ratboy's obvious fact of the day..

Jay Cutler has a better passer rating than Peyton Manning. He also completes more passes.

Just sayin'...

P.S.

Why is it that half the mane can't spell the names of players from past and present? I'm gonna personally slap the next person who spells it Dumerville like its some town off I-80.

Good then I'll smack the next sanctimonious prick who whines about it on an internet message board.

hahaha

it was nice to see us vary the count a little bit. I also noticed a semi-hurry up flow to the game. I think besides keeping the defense on its toes, it allows the offense to get into a ryhthm a little quicker

This is the first game where i noticed him doing it.

Not bad, needs a little work.

If you are going to be so hard core when it comes to spelling a name then how about a little capitalization?

:poke:

You know I'm just playing right?

Ya know, I wasn't aware that abeerline did such a grat job with the hard counts. I knew that Plumber did, and ellway did that so much teams were jumpy to begin with and it took very little to get them to jump.

now, IF culter were to developp that same ability, that would be just kool, ya know?

You want someone to show the kid how a hard count is done, you get Elway to show him! If we were at the Chargers, he would cause the Raiders to jump once or twice!

Who gives a **** about burr-line. It's not like he was a long-time Bronco, or even any good. He was a washed-up never-been that just happened to wear the Orange & blue for a couple years.
