From Monday's Minnesota Daily Star:

Athletic trainer Eric Sugarman said the injury does not require surgery and could heal sufficiently enough for Peterson to play Nov. 25 against the New York Giants. Sugarman emphasized that Peterson "absolutely, without question" will play again this season.

Just get him healthy for the fantasy league playoffs.

watching the vikings every week...I don't see what the potential gain is by bringing him back at all this season...there is just no reason to risk further injury to your franchise player when you have no chance of making the postseason. save it for next year...

They should call him HAD, H for Hurt. This guy is held together by paper mache. Like Ken Griffey, so much potential wasted on a weak ass body.

I need to win to make the playoffs this week, should I play him or Thomas Jones against the Dolphins?

I've gotta play 3 out of 4 with Henry, Young, Taylor, or Peterson. I think I'm going with Henry, Young (just to make sure I get all bronco carries) and then I'm still leaning toward Taylor. Give it one more week for me before I go with Peterson.
