Did anyone pay attention to Josh Mallard during the game? I thought he played very well. Pro bowl, No, solid in the run game, Yes. Good pickup for the middle of the season. He played his gaps well, got push, did a good job.

I'll be completely honest. I didn't have a clue that he was even in there. I tend to focus too much on Dumervil and the LBs.

I tend to watch the dline rotation to see if we are going to give up a big run or not. He is #98 and played 46 plays per andrew mason

He should have played college ball for Oregon. That would have been fitting.

Didn't really pay attention. Heard his name a few times, but i was focusing on the linebackers and champ and Bly

I didn't notice his play, but I will watch out for him next Monday...

I did. :)
4. That Mallard kid looks like he might have a future. Everytime I saw him on the field he was either using moves to get past his guy or pushing them straight back into the QB. Not bad for a kid just signed a few days before, so we should keep an eye on how the team grooms him.

He played very much like Crowder, they are like the same guy with a different number (and skin color). Anyway, I thought he played a very respectable game. Pushed his guy back regularly, stayed home on run plays when he should, looked like a solid rotational guy. They also switched him in to DT during some nickel situations. He played a lot and contributed.

Ok...the weird thing. Anubis has a ff league and in it you draft defensive players...I had no clue when I did it...I've never drafted defense before in a league...but just pretty much took whoever...because I didn't know anyone. I took Josh Mallard...before he was a Bronco! Just thought it was funny!

I diont think Mallard is all that young, right? isnt he like 28 or 29?

Mallard and Harris are two guys I'll have my eye on on my third viewing of the game. I usually defer to Med and Socal on defensive issues but I will say the whole front seven played on the Chiefs side of the LOS yesterday (though that's not any feat as it was the Chiefs).

# 93 Burton was in the backfield as much as anyone he played with alot of hart .
Dumervil won the game for us a sack a forced fumble and he made the INT by champ .

Crap...I went back to look and see how Mallard did in the scoring...I must have ditched him before he was a Bronco. He'll do well since I don't have him on my ff team ;D

Mallard played 45 plays in the game. He played DE on first and second down and DT on passing downs. He also was one of the wedge guys on kick off returns.

Just like Wesley Mallard, who was also on the roster earlier this season, who actually did go to Oregon.
We've had about 90 Mallard's on the team this year, it seems. Thankfully, we have a couple Ibis's too. :)

Yes I did and was saying "who in the hell is Mallard ". Had no clue we had anyone on the team with that name.
I saw Mallard. I thought he was average, which is still much better than John Engelberger has ever been playing for us. Hopefully he keeps getting better.

I tried to watch him and he was hardly on the field. Dumervil, Crowder and Engleberger were the guys on the field most of the time. I didn't see enough to say one way or another.

Hmm, you watched it again and all, but I thought I saw him quite a bit. I remember because I was quite surprised that a new player would be contributing so much in terms of # of snaps.

He held his ground. He lined up at Right and left end, occasionally on third down at DT. He assisted on a few tackles. He actually played quite a bit for his first game in a Bronco uniform. He looks pretty light but that is how Bates likes his ends, light and quick.
