Jeezus H. Cryst. The sparkies did not lose the game. They didn't win it, but they didn't lose it.
Who'da thunk it? Talk about your basic lucky breaks. The Dolts have had their share of problems with kickers, eh?
Along about the 12 minute mark, Mellonhead throws a couple of long balls that had no chance. That is where I think they went wrong. Prior to those brainferts, the dolts were beating the sparkies with short, crisp passes. Norv gets lucky.

Chargers fans already realized that both Norv and Rivers suck. They ain't going nowhere with them. (and still, they might win the division and go on to lose in the playoffs while screwing a REAL QB, Jay Cutler, of a chance to gain some playoff experience)
Aww I don't care, we still beat the crap out of those Chiefs.

The DOLTS didn't earn that win persay. I'm thinking, and normally I don't go here, but the colts did their level best to give them the win, and finally accomplished it at the end via Vinnetari. By the way, the charger offense, again has displayed itself as mediocre at best. Rivers has issues. Post game on the field, they interviewed Merriman, I couldn't believe it, he is truly a class A idiot. I have never heard a player characterize the game absolutely 360 degrees out from what really happened, what a freaking idiot. It's no wonder that bozo got popped for roids. He is a fool's fool......dman
*Feel good about the win charger fans, however, your secret is truly out. A little help from the refs accompanied with being "handed" the game at different points during the contest. Congrats, it will catch up to you....I can't believe what a freaking moron merriman was on the post game interview.

Did the colts change their blocking schmes or Chargers ran out of gas? They had excellent pass rush in the first half and its gone in the 2nd half. Amazing when you consider colts lost 2 starters on the OL.
Our genius DC thought it would best to attack their 3rd string tackles by running stunts to the inside against their starting guards and center.

I don't think I've ever seen a more horribly coached game by the Chargers. Norv makes Riley and Gilbride look like mensa. My wife knows **** all about football and she guessed about 75% of the offensive plays that SD ran presnap. If she can do 75%, I'm sure a decent DC can guess 90-95% and it shows. Cottrell was simply amazing. I own garden tools that are smarter than Cottrell.
We're having a lot of issues with the individual performances of players - across the board, not just Rivers or LT or McNeill or whoever. We have a handful of players who are playing well, but everyone mostly looks like crap. If it was JUST Rivers struggling or JUST whoever, then I would put the onus on that player. When everybody is playing like crap, you blame the coaches. I can't wait for Norval and Teddy to leave town.
Does anyone else think that we have seen the best of Ladianian Tomlinson's career??? I think we have

Norv has definitely brought the offense down a few notches. Everyone on that offense just looks confused. It's interesting that Alex Smith made such progress under Norv last year and looks like crap without him now. I can't figure out what's going on.
I actually thought the defense played well. Cottrell went too conservative on too many third downs but he definitely made sure Indy wasn't going to get any big plays and made Peyton throw underneath all game long. He definitely studied the game tapes of the Chargers-Colts games from the past couple of years. He was moving guys all over the place pre-snap and stunting guys left and right, pressuring Manning like Wade used to be successful at.
Why he only decides to go exotic and creative against the Colts and basically go vanilla against everyone else though, I can't understand.

It Norv's MO. When he able to have one job only he able to focus and develop the players under him. When he has to able multiple actions in fast pace environment he freeze up and struggles. It the same thing that happened in DC and **** hole near the bay

If it weren't for the Chargers D and Peyton's suckiness...the Chargers should have and would have gotten blown out. The Chargers are not a very good team right now.
Yes...it was the scrub team Cheffies that the Broncos beat...but I thought the Broncos looked better than the Chargers did yesterday.

Ok...I know it helps us if the Chargers lose...but this is awesome! LOL!
I agree with you, i dont know who to root for, i dont like the colts but we needed the chargers to lose, the way I see it is that I am happy the Chargers won, maybe thats because i lived in Indiana for 3 years and took a lot of smack from colts beating up on the broncos, but if you think about it, ya maybe we would have been tied for 1st with a Charger loss, but we are going to have to beat them down the road anyways and have to win some big games in the next couple weeks to stay in contention with them, so if the Chargers did lose, and we lost down the road it wouldnt matter, so either way we need to pick it up, and a win at KC definately picks it up, i hope we can keep it up

Norv has completely ruined Rivers. You may have noticed twice during the game yesterday, Rivers and LT both brushed off Norv when he tried to talk to them.
There are some very telling quotes in this article:

Norv has completely lost the team and they're not buying into what he's selling. I find it amazing that this team has won five games this season. They're winning on talent alone.

I don't think Norv has permanently ruined Rivers. This year: yes, but not for good. Remember at this time last year, Rivers was being voted into the probowl and leading the highest scoring offense in the league. We've seen what Rivers is capable of. I think a guy like Josh McDaniels could get him back on track. It's going to suck overhauling the coaching staff yet again, but it's clearly neccessary. And it's not like a new coaching staff automatically ruins the season the way it did this year, Spanos just has to pick the right guy. Tomlin is a first year head coach, and he seems to be doing all right. Payton did great last year. Those are the types of coaches that I would want; coaches who can connect with the players, not another retread. Norv is a joke. I don't buy into most of the villification of AJ Smith, but if he is indeed holding us back from getting a quality coach then there should not be any hesitation to take away some of his power or to ****can him all together.

What is interesting is that even if the sparkies win the Division - a "fact" not yet accomplished by a long shot - they will be a one and done team. I think that will be true regardless who from the West gets in.
Now the sparkies go to Jax and Den has Tenn. This weekend should be interestiong. My initial guess is that Jagwads will give the sparkies all they can handle and could well win that game. The Jax Dline is good, and they can bring heat to Rivers who fares badly when the heat comes on. LT seems to have sort of regressed a bit from his performance from last year. Jagwads could eat him up.
Den and Tenn could be interesting. I have no predictions for that game yet.....

i dont know why people keep saying that the colts are a better rushing team then NE, and in the cold in boston then colts will win in Jan, right now NE is 7 in total rushing yards in nfl and 7 in rushing YPG will Indianapolis is 9th in the NFL in both catagories, according to ESPN.com statistics

9 and 7 can and probably win this division. I will still say Denver comes in 2nd but in a year of the Pats, I would hate to ruin our dominance on them with this 2007 team. Christmas Eve game might be pathetic enough to have two 7 and 7 teams battling for first place.
