I'm not sure what we'll have to do to get our hands on Dorsey. The way we're playing right now, we won't have to do anything. But if we can make the trade to grab Dorsey, I think we have a playoff team.

Grab Dorsey in the first, and one each of OT, LB, and S with the 2nd and 4th round picks.

That gives us a defensive line with Moss/Crowder and Dumervil at the ends with Marcus Thomas and Dorsey in the middle. That is epic. A big time playmaker off the end with Elvis and a gamechanger at DT in Dorsey. Then 3 solid young guys in the 07 draft class. I dont care what moves we make at LB, they would look 10 times better with that kind of line playing in front of them.

OT would be my 2nd round pick. I guy to compete immediately with the dissapointing Pears and fragile Harris at RT next year, possibly even Lepsis at LT. And our future LT. Football is won in the trenches, and I would like to see a big hoss out there to keep the franshise signal caller healthy.

LB and S in the 4th are need picks. DJ is still a question mark, Gold and Webster should both be replaced, but we may not be able to. Bleh. bring in a young prospect and some vets for competition. I guarantee you, even if we bring back this same unit they will look ten times better with this DLine in front of them. Ferguson is dropping off and Lynch could be done. Abdullah has potential, but we need to bring in another young guy for competition. So S gets my vote in the 4th.

After that, some combination of RB, WR/PR, DB, OL... pretty much draft BPA in the late rounds.

So pretty much, if we can get our hands on glenn dorsey, even if it means next year's first, I think we have to do it. He could single handedly make this squad a playoff team.

Survey says... WRONG!

Wanting to assume that all of our Dline issues will not only be fixed but be some great unit with the addition of a rookie DT? BZZZT!

There's a reason that teams like NYG can consistently develop pass rushing talent and have great D lines while players, at most, become quality Dlineman once they leave Denver. No need to waste high picks on players that will never reach their full potential.

Also, isnt Dorsey injured? I think he jacked up his leg last week for like the 2nd time and now is going to miss part of the season.
As a mater of fact, could someone confirm this? Cause i cant remember for sure but i thought i read recently that he is injured!

Survey says... RIGHT!

It's all about the lines -- our running game is paying for years of ignoring the OLine, and our entire defense is paying for our poor DT play.

They're not sexy picks, but it's how you build a team. We'll never know how good Cutler is until we can build a wall around him, and we'll keep seeing Champ and Dre get burned until we can get some consistent pressure up the gut.

Survey says... (IMO)we wont have a top 4 pick ! and I would hate to see the broncos lose picks by tradeing up! loseing picks in what could be the deepest defensive draft ever! no thanks

This year the draft is loaded at defensive line and LB we could trade down and gain more picks or stay put and Draft Best defensive player or Fill a need.

He jacked up his leg in the 1st quarter... and came back in to play the rest of the game. That's toughness. And with any injury that is not a degenerative condition, he may fall a bit, and we know Shanny loves his injured players. Honestly, some kind of injury that forced him out for the rest of the season would be the best possible scenario.

Yes, lines are probably the most essential part of the team (minus probably QB) but my issue is with this guy thinking that bringing in a rookie will be the key and turn around the line play by himself. Thinking line problems can be fixed that easily is the same logic that got us the Browncos and now Sam Adams. There's no "plug this guy in and everything will click" options on the lines, you basically need to have talent across the board. Not potential, we have that... and that's what this rookie would bring more of.. you need talent.

Could this guy be a piece of turning things around? Absolutely, but could a rookie single handedly make the defense great? Not unless he's Adrian Peterson and can win games on his own. I don't know that a DT is gonna be scoring many TDs

At Offensive or Defensive tackle?

Oh wait, Iverson is the answer either way, I guess.

If you want Dorsey you better hope we go 3-13 to even have a shot.
