Notice the big difference in their telecast this week for the Ravens vs. Steelers? More subdued, less crap...and definitely more focused on football. KornBall didn't talk nearly as much. Even the segment with Terry Bradshaw. He dumped his normal goofy Fox persona. Pretty good piece! I hear the network got flooded with fan reaction after the Favre nuzzlefest from the previous week.

Power to da peoples, baby! :afro:

I couldn't hear him too well in the 4th quarter though, I think he still had Brady's nuts in his mouth (at least it was after most people probably turned it off). But yes, this broadcast was light years better than anything they have done this year.

I don't watch MNF...or any pay sporting events unless I attend them in person. While I have no doubt the recieved many complaints. I don't care what they do. It's a disney/ABC/ESPiN product...and it's crap

I'm beginning to think that's going to be a problem all season...the obsession eludes me.

It would elude you as the brilliance of most great QBs does.

Brady is probably going to break every single season passing record known to man this year and Favre is one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game and all you do is bash both because you are a fat, jaded, whore of a woman with no clue.

I think not, snooky...I'd have you for lunch on a platter, and then a quiet bottle of wine afterward. Or throw one of your bones to my pets when I'm done.

Anyway, the media fixation is getting silly. Everyone doesn't kneel at the altar of statistics. They've run out of stories and angles, so every dumb stat is brought out to make someone look better. I don't deny what the Patriots or Brady are doing. What I am saying is that this too will pass. In another couple of years it will be another team everyone slobbers on. And the beat goes on.

The point is I don't need to be told...again...how great of a season or career they're having. I've been aurally raped by their insipid "observations" on Favre and Brady's respective brilliance all offseason, draft, pre-season, season. Pummeled with it through highlights, montages, homages, accolades, sign posts, thoughts, prayers, odes, poems, sonnets, haiku. Through song, dance, musical, editorial, article, sign language, mime routine. Christ help us all if Stu Scott decides to do a "spoken word" homage to their greatness I may just ****ing kill someone.

Memo to ESPN: I get it, they're good. I know they're good. I concede the point.

Memo to NFL Defenders: $20 bucks and a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos to the ****er that ends the career of either Brady or Favre. $50 bucks to the guy who gets both. And, of course, the aforementioned Doritos. Not that I generally wish ill to any NFL player, I just want these jagwads to be forced to move on to their next insipid observation about football.

I didn't care that they interviewed Favre's wife...however, I was incensed that they did it during the game. That's what halftime...or pregame...or postgame... is for. I daresay most people who turn the tv to ESPiN for MNF are there to watch football; not interviews. And those viewers are going to be annoyed if anything takes the focus off of the game.

I think the lack of sleep with the new baby is really getting to Alec. He has been grumpier than his normal cheery old grumpy self lately.

100% nail on the head. This needs to be SCREAMED at ESPN till their ears bleed and they change it.

Do you honestly think ESPN cares about Favre's wife? Or whoever the latest star on ABC is?

I mean, I know people hate ESPN around here, but it's pretty obvious that big daddy ABC, who owns ESPN, is making these calls.

Let's at least direct hate in the right direction.

I thought I was watching last MNF on the lifetime channel.

My wife asked me if I was watching the 'We' channel. Then she asked 'isn't this game in Denver?'

All I could tell her is yes I'm watching the 'We suck' channel and there is no home field advantage in Denver anymore... not even for the fluffy pregame sappy drivel.

This is PERFECT! Send email to ESPN c/o Chris Berman, the windbag. Send another copy to FOX Sports. And a third to CBS! Hilarious!

I expect some of them to have to leave the set after having an orgasm when talking about these guys. I know Steve Young did when talking about Brett Favre, the other guys on the set had to tell him to calm down. And how can there be so many "greatest" future QB's? Manning, Brady, Romo? These media guys just like to hear themselves talk and actually think they're the greatest with their inane topics.....future John Madden's. Heaven help us all.
