After the previous 2 weeks performances, I thought I better spell it out for you guys, since your having problems 'getting it' lately. I've simplified things a bit for you to easily comprehend that the key to victory in this game is to:
1. tackle the guy with the ball - not yourself or other teammates
2. Cover Antonio 'Tony' Gonzales, T-Gonz, or Anthony Gonzales
3. Cover #88 IN THE RED JERSEY
4. Cover Chiefs TE - LINES UP NEXT TO THE OFFENSIVE TACKLE
5. Cover the odd guy out on the strong side
6. Cover the guy who looks like an old thugg - no not on our team, THE RED TEAM
7. Cover that guy that is an ethnic mix of African American, Brazilian, Italian American, Peruvian and Cape Verdean - you know the weird looking dude with big eyes
8. Cover this guy: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0LtHyoEZJ38
9. Cover that one guy that likes to hire under aged babysitters for Travis Henry's kids.
10. Cover the guy who loves his millions more than anyone or anything: http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/06/28/tony-gonzalez-loves-his-girlfriend-but-not-enough-to-risk-his-m/
You got it? Understood? Any Questions? Now lets review, say out loud after me: 'The key to beating the Chiefs this week is 1...
Oh, and if any of you see Fergy...tell him we had a meeting today on 'Covering', and it wasn't a bookies meeting...he was supposed to be here!

Put Champ on #88, cover someone for once in your life.

I'm more concerned with Dwayne Bowe...although I heard he is a little dinged up. He'll be a thorn in our side for years, though.

Yeah. I knew he was a good pickup for them. He caught on faster than I thought he would, but I knew it was only a matter of time.
I don't think it will matter. The Chiefs match-up very well against us. They run the ball a lot, play ball control and can play defense. I see a repeat of the Jags game except if Cutler doesn't play it won't even be close. I will say that Scheffler could cause some problems, and they will have trouble with Stokely in the slot. Even without LJ it's hard to see us winning this one. We'll have our work cut out for us.

What's LJ's status after he hurt his ankle?

What's LJ's status after he hurt his ankle?
Like any NFL team, they are not being very transparent regarding his status.
I have read everything from one week, to week to week to 4-6 weeks. There is no use for the Chiefs to risk this guy to continue to hold on to a .500 record. Let Holmes and Smith finish the year. The good news for Denver is that Huard is still playing. Tell your linebackers and safeties to hold tight, Huard will hit them eventually.
For those coming to Arrowhead, enjoy your visit.

Hope he recovers well. It might turn out to be a good thing for KC. With Holmes in the backfield they'll be forced to run more sweeps, screens and drawplays. It didn't look like the KC OL was capable of running the in between tackle stuff for LJ.
Might be a good thing for our front 7 as well. God knows we can defend in the in between tackle runs.

Um! Ooh Ohh! I got a question? Should they cover that Tony guy when somebody else is running the ball up the middle making first down after first down?
What about the guy in the lawn chair blowing up our secondary? Shouldn't they try to at least try and scare that guy?
I hope the Broncos knock the crap out of the Chiefs. I don't care if they win. Just beat the crap out of them...at least get some blood on their uniforms.

There is only one problem, number 1. We can't stop anyone when they run the ball, we are going to give up a huge day to Preist Holmes and that kills me!
