Wonder if the powers that be will remove the corn cob from their arse and allow this thread to stay?
Anyways, I don't think AP will break the record.

Its pretty bad, like if it was 3rd down and 40, we would give up a 45 yard pass bad.
AP will run for 330 yards by halftime.

I doubt he does either. Well actually I just don't know. He might be special.
I say 'might' not to diminish what he's already done, but he's still only played what, 8 games?

So bad that I bet Earl Campbell could post 150 + yards against them, today.....

At first it was a legitimate question. Then it turned into a quest for fun, much like National Lampoon's Family Vacation.
Woody Paige thinks AP will break 2K. Now that would be something special.
Lets see Ryan Grant, #3 rb on Green bay torches us for over 100 yards..... AP will get 300+ if they give him the ball 30 times. Running behind Mount McKinney and Hutchinson towards Ian Gold and Dre Bly = a serious beating.

I almost hope he does break 300, if this team doesn't start picking up the pieces now then a good embarrassment like that to close out the season ought to bring a little change where it's needed most.
I don't want to leave any of it to chance. I want there to be no way in hell than anybody can make any excuses for guys like Gold or Fergusen.

I should have put an option that we stack 10 in the box, and Tavaris Jackson has a career day passing.

There are ways to compensate for a less-than-adequate front line & poor execution therein...it's a thing called run blitz..
If your defensive linemen aren't getting sufficient pressure, there's a thing called a blitz...might've heard of it.
Of course, you need great corners to make it work & a defensive coach coach who has a clue.
Oh wait...

ha ha... what did you think about Champ Bailey and Dre Bly blanketing Shaun McDonald and Mike Furrey... Why spend somewhere around 10-12 million roughly on average for these two players to be on the field if we aren't going to have them taking away the oppositions best WR's? Just seems obvious to me but we haven't done it all year.

Yeah, and Lord only knows, dropping 80 year-old Simeon Rice into coverage was sheer genius.
Rather than yell & scream, maybe Mike ought to see if there's an open bar somewhere near the coaches booth up there.
Good grief.

I don't know why we don't start doing this. We really could just leave Bly and Bailey on islands against the Minnesota WR's, I bet they could shut them down.

Champ Bailey could cover multiple guys at once... Just no streak routes down the sideline.

Bad enough Priest Holmes couldn't have written a script for a return to starter role any better than this one.

First of all to answer the real question, our Run D is as bad as I have ever seen. Fortunately that's easier to fix in one offseason than gaining a pass rush...
Now your point about Adrian Peterson breaking his own record... well I don't think it happens for two reasons (against us):
1) He has an injury history and he is a rookie, which means he will likely be worn out, injured or both by the time week 17 rolls around.
2) Minnesota's QB situation is so bad, that with our CBs we can play 9 in the box. Seriously.

Not only are we going to give the the single game record, we'll also be watching history in the making cuz by this time he'll be at 2000 yards and be gunning for the single season record as well

I don't know if that would be disappointing or amazing to watch.
