Nice going. The Faders are getting another local TV blackout in their home market because they couldnt sell out that ****hole stadium of theirs.

What happened Raiders fan? Bandwagon wheels fall off? Seriously, how the hell does a team in the 5th largest market in the U.S. not get 50,000 duckets sold every week?

On the bright side, since your local game is blacked out, at least you "fans" can watch the Colts vs Patriots. Way to support your team Raider fan.

Blackout a turn-on

David White, Chronicle Staff Report

Friday, November 2, 2007

(11-01) 17:37 PDT -- Bad news for Raiders fans: Sunday's game won't be on local television. Good news for non-Raiders fans: The Colts-Patriots showdown will be.

The Raiders did not sell out Sunday's home game against the Texans, which means the game will be blacked out locally.

Instead, CBS affiliates will show the much-hyped matchup of NFL unbeatens when New England (8-0) visits Indianapolis (7-0). That game would not have been available if the Raiders sold out.

An unscientific poll on SFGate.com asked which game readers would prefer to watch. There were 1,737 votes, 86% for the Patriots-Colts, 14% for the Texans-Raiders.

This is Oakland's first nonsellout in four games, and the third since the Raiders took over ticket operations before last season.

Blackouts by the numbers
Since the Raiders moved back to Oakland in 1995, 61 of their 99 home games have been blacked out locally, including this year's Cleveland game. Here are the top five NFL teams in blackouts since the Raiders' return:.

1. Cardinals 78

2. Raiders 61

3. Falcons 48

4. Saints 43

5. Seahawks 40

The Faid have a hug base of bandwagon fans, but can't fill a stadium.
Too many fans like Raider Rock who start web sites, troll around the rivals' boards talking through their a$$, yet have never been to a Faid home game.
They just think they're bad ROFL!Hilarious!

It really is kind of baffling. I went to the Raiders/Ravens game last year and despite a large sea of purple and black there was also a good number of Black and Silver out there. I was kind of surprised. But yet they cant sell out their own stadium? Pretty damn sad if you ask me.

From Ray Ratto via CBS Sportsline:

In an attempt to hustle up NFL Ticket sales in the greater Houston area, the league is requiring the CBS affiliate there to air Raiders-Texans, and only Raiders-Texans. No Patriots-Colts for them. The Bay Area, with more leverage, voted with its lack of feet and refused to buy up enough tickets to overcome the blackout rule, making Houston the only place on the entire planet that gets the crummy game rather than the good game -- unless, of course, it buys the Direct TV NFL package, or goes to a bar where the game is shown. The lesson? L.A. is better off without the NFL than ever before. It might get force-fed the New York Giants every week, but at least it won't be subjected to this. Oh, and while we're at it, someone should ask attorney general nominee Michael Mukasey if he considers waterboarding to be closer to torture than Sage Rosenfels-vs-Josh McCown.

Raiders only problem is their fans don't work and therefore cannot afford tickets. They can wear their gear to the soup kitchen so at least they can watch the Indy / Pats game.

Hey Raider Nation...

I think this was JaMarcus Russells reaction to getting picked by the Raiders.

Notice he was in no hurry to get to camp. And not in any hurry to play either.

Skateboarding with Marinovich is my guess.

Why the hell would anyone choose to go to the mausoleum to watch a game.

Who would want to go hang out with thousands of low life drunken gang bangers on a sunday afternoon?

That's exactly my thought. Heck, Oakland fans even shoot their own!

I was looking to go to an away game this season and I was thinking about going to Oakland. My friend who lives around that area was like, "Oh no, you DON'T want to do that".

Glad I didn't. I guess opposing team fans just don't want to go to a craphole stadium with craphole fans.

He does have a point about opposing fans buying tickets. Mile High isn't what it used to be, i hate the new stadium. What is our home record the last couple seasons? Very bad because its like we're always on a road game.

Dont know if that is some kind of comeback but let us debunk this troll. First, half empty stadium is half the money Al can get to buy up contracts of more horrible players. Less money = less profit to get better players. Also, probably 10% Packers fans at game no more than that. Pmce again, full stadium = no blackout and more money for team. Furthermore, you would have more oppossing fans if they werent threatened for their life based on a football game. Most other teams' fans have way more important things in life than football. You have no job, change for dinero and no life outside of wearing silver and black. The only group that opposes the "3 strikes and you are out" law is Raider fans. Seems it has been killing their fan base at McAfee.
