You believe because you are clearly a superior fan to everyone else. I think most people would like them to win but some people are able to see it with their eyes more than their hearts.

I'm a die hard not matter what happens...always will be. I get just as frustrated as the next guy when we lose a tough game or a couple in a row. Giving up is not an option for me. I'll always find positives in a given season to maintain that passion that I have for the team. This year I've enjoyed watching the development of some of our younger talent and the luxury of knowing that we are still able to run a competative team on the field despite a number of setbacks.
All of this could mean nothing if I weren't refrencing the Broncos. There are some teams that may never get it together. I trust my team in the hands of Bowlen, Sundquist, and Shanahan.

Nothing on the poll has what i think. Win one or two then lose one or two. Schedule doesnt favor us one way or another as for a serious streak. I would like to be wrong, but my original 10 and 6 season is a pipe dream. I will take 2nd place behind the Chargers and dont care the record. As long as Chiefs and Faiders are behind us, I will be fine.

We can beat NE, but I don't think we'll make the playoffs and beat the colts+NE. So I'd rather just chalk it up as a practice season and come in firing hard next season.

NO such thing as a practice season. As a fan I want 9 more wins.
Everything has got to be taken one week at a time. This year has already had 3 drastic turn arounds. Giants, Saints, Chargers. Maybe our O will start finishing, the D makes a few key big plays and we'll be next on that list. It's not like our losses are against poor teams either.
That's the unemotional fan in me speaking.

I like how you put it. Basically how I feel.
Heck, we just lost in OT to a 5-1 team!! I think we've already made some drastic improvements from the first few games. I don't ever give up on a season because I wouldn't expect this team to ever walk out on the field with that same attitude. I go into every game hoping for a win...no matter who! That's realistic...not just heart!
And all this "I'm a better fan than you" crap is getting a little out of hand. Why all the comparisons? :nono:

That is from the NFC, has no running game, at home. Be careful of hurting your shoulder when reaching that hard.

I still think we can pull it together, and get to 8-8 or 9-7. It is all about the offense here. And, I don't mind this year if we find a way to get Cutler into a groove. By that I mean the impetus to win all our games should be on his shoulders. That's why we got him. The defense only needs to keep us in games for now (like they did last week).
We were just a couple plays away from blowing the Packers out. 2 missed TD's on offense, to easy TD's on defense. We should have won by 14 or more. If we cut out the mistakes (from our inexperienced team), we will start winning.
Also, if people now see they can challenge Champ and Dre more, it might pay dividends for us in the long run (they won't always get beat).
My optimism is grounded in reality. We are a couple mistakes away from being a good team (not necessarily great) but surely 8-8 if not better. And, we should have many more exciting games to watch before the season is through. I really hate losing, but I am willing to take my lumps because I feel like I am watching something special develop with our new young O-line, receivers, and Cutler.

Unless Shanahan finds some diamonds in the rough on defense, we're probably looking at dropping a game virtually every other week from here on out. The Jarvis Moss injury didn't help matters in the least. I'm not hearing the fat lady sing, but she's warming up...

I like Jarvis, and think he has the chance (and game experience) to be a great performer for us next year. However, for this year Rice should be a capable replacement. I don't like Rice, but he has proven himself over the years. He should get in a groove after a couple solid games back on the field.
Our real problem is still at DT. Marcus Thomas has a real motor and is learning, but Sam Adams seems to content to stop his feet and just push on guys. Just enough to make it look like he's in the game. We need another DT for next year's squad that is a little younger and quicker (but still heavy).

I'll go a step more pesimistic and say we just need some dumb luck to find it's way to the D. I don't think our D will magically come together like it did for GB last year. I think we will just need to find some luck in key situations.
The D did show a Bend but don't break tendancy last week for most of the game. GB only put up 13 in regulation and we squandered lots of chances to win and win nicely. We all know we ain't competing with the colts or pats most likely but I'm not paid to analze games unbiasedly so I'll just be a fan routing for best case senerios for the Broncos.

The Broncos have a lot of problems that as fans are painful to watch. I enjoy watching the games because I want to see what will happen and be there when it turns around. Any optimism this season is not well placed. They are going to run hot and cold all year.

Like i stated before even if they lose as long as they give 110% i will be satisfied for now. Its all about improving from week to week. Its obvious right now we are not playing up to standards but some of us already knew this was a growing period for us.

Let the young guys improve (without getting hurt in practice) and hope we have some exciting games to watch. But most importantly beat the Chuggers, Faiders, and Qweefs

I'm still plenty optimistic for the season. Every team left on the schedule Denver can potentially score 28 on. The ST's I think have improved a great deal in the past the few games, and that means a lot. The O keeps chugging along:
Denver is 4th in the AFC in firstdowns per game.
Denver is 4th in the AFC in 3rd conversion %.
Denver is 4th in the AFC in yds per O play.
The season is not a washout yet. The record can still end up at 10-6. It's real easy to say, "yeah, yeah, they barely win when they win" But the O can put some points up, I'm sure of that.
And I'm not counting the ST's down and out for the count right now. I think they'll start rolling. That stupid "7-9 or #1 pick" poll was just that, stupid. Nobody can say this team will be 7-9 or worse.
A big deal right now is Denver is at -5 I believe in TO ratio. Get that TO ratio up into the plus category, and this will be a playoff season. The D will have to get some TO's, hell they're giving up yards galore, strip the dang ball, jeez, force some fumbles. Hell, the D is on the field for a lot of plays, they should be causing some fumbles.
I think the O and the ST's can get some points on the board, if the D can at least get some TO's and the O can stop the TO's then the team still has a shot at the playoffs. It ain't over til it's over, folks, not when you have an O that can move the ball, and an O that can move the ball in the 2-minute drill.

You gotta figure that to get to the playoffs this team has to reach 10-6 on the season, which means going 7-2 from here out. I don't see that happening for this team, much as I would love some playoffs with my holiday leftovers.

It's not totally out of the realm of possibility that the team can go 7-2 to finish. Not at all. I know this O can put up 24 ppg, I'm sure of it. And if they can do that consistently, then 7-2 is likely. The D will play much better with a lead, maybe they can start getting some TO's. The ST's are looking much, much better, and that's a big deal.
I think this Denver team potentially - and hopefully starting tomorrow IS - a solid two-phase team with a less-gifted third phase, the D. Usually, a team that is solid and consistent in two phases makes the playoffs. Granted, from the current position of a 3-4 record, it will be dicey. But certainly not impossible.
The team has to get that TO ratio up into the +10 category by the end of the season, though. They're gonna have to play real clean ball on O, and get some ST and D TO's. That will be a big, big deal, the TO ratio.

7 and 2 and you think we hit that? We still have Chargers and Chiefs away. There is two tough games and then Broncos have to win on the road against Lions, Tigers and Bears (Oh my!). Face it people, how we are playing, we will have success if we go 8 and 8 or 9 and 7.

I hope we play as hard as we can and earn a top 10 pick at the same time. If we get some wins down the stretch, and end up winning 6 -7 games , I want it to be by doing something that we will be doing next year, to help make this team successfull. Best case scenario for me.

this season is not even close to being over. We are very close to finishing the in the RZ, we were getting better until Kuper knocked the ball out of Culers hands. We played a 5-1 GB team, played like crap and STILL almost won if it wasnt for a poorly designed D play.
Hopefully we can pull on this weekend vs a very good Lions O team, just gotta stop the run!!!
I have faith we can still make the playoffs, but if not, this team still can win 9 games.

7-2 is not impossible to accomplish. This O can score, I'm sure of it, and I like how the ST's have bootstrapped themselves from last to pretty good. The D is gonna be the weak link all year I think, but I'm sure this O can put 24+ on any team they face from here on out. It's gonna be dicey to make 7-2 and hence 10-6, and hence the playoffs, but I think this is a solid two-phase team in the O and ST's. The D is gonna have to get some TO's, TO's are a big deal right now.
