I don't get it.

read the 1st page and you will

"If this was a BB team we probably would have ran the ball forgetting the pass whether it was for a first down or not - There is no reason to throw it up when by that much"

"Doesnt matter to me.

Belichick ends the game with knees and running when he has an easy shot at another TD.

Colts meanwhile do all they can to boost their statistics. Its unclassy.

Another reason why we're better than them."

riiight

Wow!

The only thing that gives me some comfort is that I truly believe the Colts are doing it (and have always done it) for the stats, while the Patriots are doing to tell the league to go $%@# themselves!

The problem Bronx, is that the reason doesnt matter. the act itself is what matters.

Rather, it matters to those who think its unclassy.

Funny...can't remember which channel it was, but that very question was asked of Sharpe, Boomer, Marino and Cowher....and all but one (I think boomer) said they had every right to run up the score. Sharpe made a point to say that they are out there to win and you just never know what could happen in the end.

Personally, I really don't care. If they want to risk injury of their key players...that's his decision.

I mean, it is their prerogative to score as many points as they want/can. But I just love how their image of their beloved hobo coach is so flexible...ie "oh Bill would NEVER run out the score" to "oh Bill is just a winner"

If you don't want the Pats to score, then stop them. It's simple.

Which most teams would logically think they did.....when it's 4th and ____ outside of field goal range, and the opponent is up by about 40 with less than a quarter to play.

respect vs no respect i doubt belicheat cares nor do his fans (they are winning) but i care and believe in teams having class on and off the field belicheat has neither at this point IMO. Karma will get him (book it) just keep running the golden boy in trash time belicheat.

There is a time honored tradition for that type of thing. Hopefully no one actually does it because it would be as uncool as running up the score.

I agree, all it takes is for 1 pissed off d-lineman to take Brady down with a knee shot when he should be on the bench during garbage time.

Was it the Bills...and either the Jets or the Oilers...I think the Bills were down by 30 some going into the 4th...and the Bills pulled out the game? Yeah, it's not over until it's over! I turned that game back on and couldn't believe it!

karmically owned. and I think defenses will definitely want to hit the pats now, especially on the not so good teams in the league. throw some cheateration in there and brady could be taking some shots.
