Denver is coming off a 31-28 home victory last week on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers, who entered the game allowing an NFL-low 9.5 points per game.
Quarterback Jay Cutler set singlegame career highs for passer rating (106.7), completion percentage (75.9) and touchdown passes (3) while directing a Denver offense that posted its best third-down success rate (70% / 7-of-10) in a game since 1993.
Denver has faced Favre five times in his career, including in its 31-24 Super Bowl XXXII victory against the Packers during the 1997 season, and is one of only three current NFL cities in which Favre has yet to throw a touchdown pass.
The Broncos own a 5-4-1 all-time regular-season record against the Packers, including a 5-0 mark at home.
The Broncos own an 19-8-1 (.696) all-time record at home on Monday Night Football, a mark the club will look to improve against the Packers this week. Denver’s .696 home winning percentage on Monday Night Football qualifies as the fourth best in the NFL among teams with at least 10 home MNF games.

"I feel it,When I feel it, it's really not good. I can play through some pain, but stretching and pulling it is one thing. It's still up in the air, but it's better than it was last week" - Champ Bailey
"You have to (take a bigger role). That's the way football is ever since the middle-school days. Someone gets hurt, you don't just quit and lay down and accept that you're not going to be that good, you have someone step up, put people in different spots and you go on,"- Tony Scheffler
"It happens a lot,I think what happens is everybody realizes we have to pick up our game."- John Lynch
"I just hope we don't lose any more players for you to test your philosophy,I'd rather not test it, to be honest with you. It's always hard to replace great players, but sooner or later, a guy gets an opportunity and he shows what he can do. For Tom Nalen to get his opportunity and Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey, somebody had to go down or they had to practice extremely hard to get their chance. And once they get their chance, they take advantage of the opportunity. We've had some running backs go down and all of a sudden we look up and we say, 'Hey, there's a 1,200-, 1,300-yard back."- Mike Shanahan.

For a die hard fan, you got crappy priorities son. Work is secondary to football, and your boss should understand and accept that. Otherwise you have not done your job as a fanatic to impress upon him the seriousness of his error by having you work during a football game.

Stick your finger down your throat and puke all over your desk. It's prime flu season. No boss in the world will want you around potentially infecting the entire office. And it gives you a built-in excuse if you are not feeling so well in the morning. :wiggle:

ROFL!
When the wife and I got married, it was explained rather in depth that we either schedule our wedding in the offseason or we would elope to Vegas where at least I could see the game.
I see a Broncos win tonight on the big stage. It will be much lower scoring than normal however as Green Bay's D is solid.

Key will be pass rush for both teams. If Cutler has to run for his life, it's gonna be a long night. If we can rush Favre's throws, we'll get some turnovers because his WR's are average.

Word off the ESPN wire is that there are a few sure things about this game:
1) Jay Cutler will have an interception (I Hope they're wrong and he goes w/out on) but will have 2-3 td passes. The difference they said on ESPN will be if he has more than 1 pick, the game will go to GB. If he has 3 td throws it is almost a guaranteed win for the Broncos.
2) Wynn (GB - RB) will get the majority of the carries tonight
3) They expect Favre to pass a lot tonight and not on deep balls but short 5-10 yard outs, curls, etc.
4) Good news - Most of them are siding with the Broncos at Home but feel GB would win the game if not in Denver.

That would be cool if Cutler can go the whole game without an interception, but he hasn't shown that ability to date. I just hope it doesn't have to come down to Elam once again. I would love to have a semi-comfortable victory tonight...

I see us with a win tonight. I think Shanny will come out throwing. Henry will have a decent game but I see Selvin ripping off some long ones. As with almost all of our games, it is going to come down to getting pressure on the QB and getting off the field on third down. If we pressure Brett like we did Big Ben, it wil be a good night.

The Denver Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) have declared DL Amon Gordon (http://www.kffl.com/player/9264/nfl), OG Isaac Snell (http://www.kffl.com/player/12243/nfl), DL Jarvis Moss (http://www.kffl.com/player/16119/nfl), WR Javon Walker (http://www.kffl.com/player/782/nfl), CB Jeff Shoate (http://www.kffl.com/player/9851/nfl), FB Mike Bell (http://www.kffl.com/player/13764/nfl), RB Travis Henry (http://www.kffl.com/player/209/nfl) inactive for Week 8.

Broncos-Packers Pregame: Henry Out; Bailey In (http://blog.denverbroncos.com/mason/2007/10/29/broncos-packers-pregame-henry-out-bailey-in/)
October 29th, 2007 - 5:37pm by Andrew Travis Henry is out, but Champ Bailey is set to go for tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Bailey, who did not practice Friday after being limited in the Wednesday and Thursday sessions last week, was deemed ready to go and was moved to the active roster for the first time since straining a quadriceps muscle on Oct. 7 against San Diego.
Henry, meanwhile, will miss his first game since joining the Broncos with bruised ribs that he incurred in the Sunday Night Football win over the Pittsburgh Steelers eight days ago.
Selvin Young is expected to start in Henry’s place. Andre Hall, the third-teamer who was inactive last week, is in uniform tonight. Also of note in the backfield is the decision to deactivate fullback Mike Bell, leaving the Broncos with Young, Hall and Cecil Sapp as the only backs in uniform.
With Bailey ready, cornerback Jeff Shoate was deactivated.
Joining Henry, Bell and Shoate on the inactive list are safety Hamza Abdullah, defensive tackle Amon Gordon, offensive lineman Isaac Snell and defensive end Jarvis Moss.
Simeon Rice returns to the active 45-man roster after being down the last two weeks.

What's wrong with Moss?
I figure it's more of having a predicament with two other young DE's (Dumervil and Crowder) along with Engelberger who is our best run defender at the position and Rice making noise about not getting P/T - somebody needed to be the odd man out, and you need to keep Crowder out there because he can defend against the run.

Here comes the Favre Slurping
I'm about to have a in house party so I won't be on tonight... just wanted to comment on a few things...
ESPN has really hired some tools. Emmitt can talk straight and Keyshawn doesn't make any sense... "Green Bay will be able to run when it gets cold and people don't want to tackle. They'll be able to run."
Right.
Well, most of the idiots on ESPN picked Green Bay besides Tom, Steven Young and Stu.
I don't understand Moss sitting besides the fact that he missed a couple sacks last week. Still, we need to get that guy PT and I definitely don't want to feel like we are succombing to Rice's pressuring.
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GO BRONCOS! Come on CUTLER!
