ENGLEWOOD – The Denver Broncos’ injury situation looked better after a short practice Saturday afternoon.
Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said cornerback Champ Bailey, who has a thigh injury, went through a full practice, a good sign that he will be able to play Monday against Green Bay.
Running back Travis Henry, who hadn’t practiced this week because of a rib injury, was a limited participant. Henry and Shanahan said the Broncos’ leading rusher will get painkilling shots Monday and then test the injury before the game.
Henry said he was feeling better, and his status will be a game-time decision. Henry said he did some running Friday for the first time this week but had some pain.
“I want to play,” Henry said. “But I still have to pass a couple of tests.”
Henry said he has taken painkilling shots in the past. He’ll go through some light contact drills Monday to determine if he can play.
“We’ll see how he feels,” Shanahan said. “But he took some (repetitions), which is a good sign.”
